Why not automatically assign a faction based on the name of the colonized system architect’s squadron ?

Why not automatically assign a faction based on the name of the colonized system architect’s squadron? By automatically creating a squadron and a faction for the architect, which would be fair given the effort involved in colonizing the system. Even when playing alone, a significant amount of time is spent on the game, so a well-deserved reward would be appreciated.

Thank you, devs.

ok, but I am not affiliated with any faction and I am obliged to take a system controlled by a faction, but nothing prevents replacing one of the sub-factions of the colonized system by the faction of the player who colonizes the system, I do not want to affiliate myself with another player faction, I do not want to "work" for another faction than mine, the other factions do nothing and extend to the sweat of the cmdr who colonize the system

Your squadron can align itself with your chosen faction, which will be placed as a 3rd faction in the system you design.
As the contract to build is bought from one faction, they will be controlling of the system.
The architect role is just designer & haulier, not owner, after all.

Whichever minor faction's colonization contact you used to establish your claim probably also provides the colonization resources & coordination with Brewer corp.

In short, they hire the architect to work on the project as a privileged consultant. And that's what we are 🤷‍♂️

When the colonization was created, there was the main faction: "chimera" for me and three others. Why not give the name of one of the three others to the name of the squadron for example, it would just be a name but it would give the impression of existing.

Because many of us aren’t members of or interested in Squadrons and some are not supporters of or interested in factions.

To tell the truth, it's the response of a dev that interests me, not the opinion of the players, everyone has their own opinion and that's very good, but if a dev could answer me, that would be better.

As others have said. Its unlikely, in the extreme, that a community manager will comment, let alone a dev. I've been active on these forums for almost 4 years (late July) and I've only ever seen a dev post once.

EDIT: Or maybe it was just a like on a post and not an actual post now that I think about it more.

Because your squadron isn’t a faction.

I’m a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society IRL, we don’t automatically gain a political party because we have a (professional) group.
^^ this one.

Faction == comprised entirely of NPCs... to the point that 5% influence literally means 5% of the NPC population support that faction.

Squadron = like-minded commanders grouped together under a common cause... no recognised affiliation to a faction other than the one- way 'pledge', which can be changed whenever you feel like now.

That's not how the system works currently, because squadrons are not factions. There are Player Minor Factions though. Maybe the Vanguards update enables such things.

What OP wants is when he colonizes a system that a Player Minor Faction of his choice inhabits the system.
