Why not dinosaur breeding in new DLC!!??

Why won't we have dinosaur breeding in the new DLC !! ?? Breeding is an essential element within the Jurassic Park franchise !!!! It would not be difficult to introduce this feature request, at least for the DLC campaign species only. And later this could be added for all species little by little over the months. And if we really don't have this feature request, what's the need for this photo !?

I can't even fathom the level of wrong this statement is.The amount of work a feature like this would take to make sure people are happy with it would be immense.

--New models, new rigs, new textures for babies for every existing species and future ones.
--Coding, developing, and implementing a breeding system in a game where the animals only have barebones social interactions with one another.
--Coding, developing, and implementing a nesting system when even their flagship zoo game, Planet Zoo, doesn't include nesting.
--A complete overhaul of the social system to allow for more detailed interactions between dinosaurs, such as more detailed herd behavior and parent/offspring behaviors.

And that's only scratching the surface.
Developers aren't wizards. They don't just wave a wand and make it so.

Well ... I may have been hasty when I said that, but ... if breeding was only implemented with the DLC campaign species, (at least initially) then the work to bring this feature request would be less cumbersome. And the game currently has over 60 species, right? So breeding and nesting could be implemented more calmly over the months, it would be easier than bringing breeding to over 60 species at one time. Do you understand my reasoning? Would be easier

They're not going to release a whole feature peicemeal like that. It won't make their work easier. And having an unfinished feature in the public build of the game will be a net negative. In fact, implimenting the system for some dinosaurs and not others while modeling work is finished creates an additional layer of unessesary complexity.

I don't really understand that, they've already added skins and genes for certain species already (IDR camouflage, raptor squad pack, 1993/1997/etc genes...

This time the OP had quite a point, I think. Having at least some of the original species breeding would have made a really good campaing.

So far, I must say I am not impressed at all by the new missions. Going by BiS' video, the new map doesn't even look like JP to me 🤷‍♂️

If you want to hear support for actual breeding, I do have a conceptual idea I've been thinking of for a couple of months that could workout that I'm willing to share on the idea forum after the Return to Jurassic Park DLC is released. I need to see how this DLC's campaign really works as well as checking if there have been indeed any model shape changes in any of the "legacy skins" in-game first if I want to flesh it out better.

Thank you for hearing my idea, if you think calmly, breeding can really be implemented in the game.

Oh! Good to read this! Ok, I'll be waiting for you to share your idea after the release of DLC.

I know it can. It just didn't feel such an urgent feature to me, the game lacked (and still does) on so many areas...

But I have yo agree that having at least those original 15 species (in the novel, they weren't even all of them: just only those that had frog DNA spliced... like half of them) would have made such a nice, inmersive mission and unlockeable feature for Sandbox.

But this seems like Paleobotany all over again, another great opportunity missed.

Being fair, however, having only 6-15 breeding-able species, however canon-wise, would have made people scream for it to be expanded to the rest. But I personally would be fine with it, canon-wise, and further expansion on that could be done later, even as DLC 🤷‍♂️

They must have known mentioning breeding in ANY way would cause this firestorm. My guess is it's something they're considering adding at some point.

With claires sanctuary as a thing.... They could make it planet zoo like by allowing you to sell babies you dont want to be taken to claires sanctuary island to promote conservation and to keep the animals from ever going extinct again. But if you want to prevent breeding u use the breeding prevention med from this campaign.

I hope we get it at some point.

Honestly other than more animations and behavior the only big add ons for this game in the future would be: breeding, aquatic attractions, and allowing us to combine the eras on sandbox, lastly a jw dlc with it's own signs, lights, raptor compound, river tour and rex kingdom log.

Yeah. There's still what, about 2 years of support for the game? Breeding could be the next and last "big addition" to the game, like the 93 DLC is now. Other things are smaller and easier to implement. And it would allow for a true Site B scenario, extending replayability.

Perfect!!!!

I absolutely agree with you!!!!

They may wait for JWE 2 on next-gen for the Xbox 2 and PS5 before implementing breeding.

Hmmm ... this is good reasoning. Let's wait ... and I also say that it would be great to have breeding in JWE2. Imagine, there could be a sandbox mode where breeding would be allowed on Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, so we could create a true self-sustaining ecosystem, just like in the movies. And I think this feature request could also be present in campaign mode, where population control would be achieved in a very simple way ... when the dinosaurs start breeding and the population gets too big, sell the dinosaur babies and get extra money to your park! But I agree with you, let's hope breeding is implemented in JWE2

Personally, I'd expect breeding to be something for JWE2, with the use of it also being the main way you gain access to new skins (Breeding having a chance for new ones to pop up that you could sample and analyze for use in the dinos you engineer).

I'm the weird one, then, because I do hope there is no JWE2, to begin with. Already wasted enough money on this one, and it doesn't make sense at all for it to have a sequel that would be essentially the same game. Can't really follow your desperation to pay another 60 bucks for the same thing.

Anyway, if they don't work on breeding sooner, PK might be ripe enough around 2021 and that would be such a serious rival I seriously doubt they gather the same success 🤷‍♂️

If they're smart JWE 2 won't be the same thing, it'll be more like Planet Zoo; an actual park builder with focus on park building, animal care and entertaining real guests, not silly missions, scripted combat and making money off zombie mannequins...

PK? What is it? Did you mean that in 2021 they can implement breeding? But my friend, I really think they will do JWE2, because the first game will be supported for 2 years (correct me if I'm wrong). By 2021 it will be three years. But ... as JW3 will come in 2021, I think a second game is coming. I understand your point, and agree in part, because the leaks have so far been very accurate, it may be that something is wrong, I don't know, but by all indications so far, we'll have JWE2. I may be wrong, but based on current evidence, that's what I think
