PvP Why PvP is not popular in Elite Dangerous?

Two more legends right there. Pipko, John Raanes, Masslocked Mafia, Bazinga, Mini Watto, Kurt Ansa's been around along time too.

To be fair Ive only been around a year ish. PVPing for about 6 months.

But I stream, Ive progressed really fast in this game, I play this game 8-12 hours a day sometimes when my body allows me to stream.

The things is guys, I used to be a MASSIVE carebear, people that know me know this. I played in private and solo, Ive been stream sniped and all sorts of things.

I wanted to git gud. And when I learned the game, I found out that when I wanted to learn how to PVP. I lost one of my friends all because I wanted Consensual PVP and to learn the game.

And then I got this when the guy Unsubbed, https://imgur.com/ob442bf All because I joined GCI to learn how to fight back and defend myself when I streamed. Then I started to see how toxic this community really is when it comes to PVP.

SO I am no longer Morally Recognizable because I know how to PVP.

Lots of people told me not to come to these forums for this very reason. And guess what, they weren't wrong.

There are some serious problems here when it comes to this community and this games features.

Thats why I am here. I am speaking up against this nonsense.

And it all starts with giving meaning to PVP and the only way to do that is Balance it so Objectives can only be taken in Open with everyone else.




And trust me. They know it.

I agree with your intentions...but your tying the repair to the wrong issue. You are going to lose on this one, in this game.

The devs might know they have problems, ...but you can take this from me, PVP is never going to be anything more than what it is. It might get incrementally better...but the above idea is DOA. Forever. The game will close before that occurs. Period.

Let me ask you this.

Well if they design it like World of Warcraft. Banks and communication and tools. Then we have Player OWNED systems and so on. It shouldn't be hard to connect the two.

Lots of ideas out there like Permit Locked systems for OPEN. If you want to enter a player owned system. Then bam you have to switch to OPEN. Otherwise if you want to PVE Space is big go somewhere else.

Don Kioti from my group actually came up with that Idea and its a pretty good one. And distinguishes PVP and PVE giving definition to the game.

But who knows how they handle it. They got some pretty neat tricks up their sleeve when it comes to stuff. Im really happy with their decisions with Engineers and stuff. I think Crime and Punishment will be an ongoing thing as players adapt, same with the Karma System. Those things will be ongoing forever.

Command and control is DOA in this game...so that can be removed from your list immediately. Permit locked systems for Open only...not against...just do not see it happening with the design mantra of the game...influence only...no ownership...the devs have clearly stated from the start of the game that there will never be a way for the galaxy to ossify into player run sections.

The wizard wasn't skilled. He was a cheap pilot. Anyone with decent engineering can be made to look good. And yes Isinona is the 1st guy who flew f assist off that I saw. His videos inspired me to flick the switch.

Another pilot would be Cillit Bang aka Archon Fury. Now that guy knows how to fly

If aimed at me..I will see the costs to the way I play the game and decided to leave or stay. If the devs removed the modes...and did nothing about the rebuy cost...I would quit. Rebuy costs me to much time when I lose to mistakes I make...took me 5 days to recover from my last mistake...and that was last week...I get into problems with players more than one or two times...i won't be able to play.

Removal of BGS play through out the galaxy...again...I leave...because there is not game at that point.

When they fix that Toxicity will go down 10-fold. And then we will see more Group play, Wings fights and so on. And everyone else that whats to get thier PVE on, they wont even be effected because they can use the SINGLE player part of the game.

You should'nt be able to chose a mode called SOLO then turn around and attack the multiplayer part of this game.

Ya'll opt out of PVP by choosing the modes, but then you turn around and attack people within them?

That is the biggest mistake in this game.

And trust me. They know it.

DUDE, so fun fact. Archon Fury is the guy that got me to buy this game. I came across one of his videos on Reddit. I was like WHAT IS THIS GAME. And it was around the Powerplay Release, I was able to play for a bit. But then my CPU took a dump.

When I bought the game NO WHERE did they say Objectives could be taken in solo and private. And PVP came with IRL DLC and Sodium because of it.

They advertised PVP with Powerplay. And the modes ruined it. I did NOT get the game that was Advertised.
