It seems quite likely the Vikings did get there

Pretty sure there is evidence for viking contact with eskimos. Egytians might have gone aswell, significantly earlier. Im not 100% but i think its been proved possible in a reed boat. There are also the similaritys of pyramids and zigurats.

I think the longevity of this thread has way more to do with the joyous silliness of the forum as a whole. They've taken a witless OP and made it gold by having such fun, busking on various themes.

Well played the community. .
I did rather enjoy the pigeon excursion.

What the Norse called 'Skraelings' where Thule (pre-Inuit) peoples and Beothuk (a tribe related to the Algonquin).

Probably thinking of the Kon-Tiki expedition.

Anyway, ties between central american pyramids and ziggurats with those from the eastern hemisphere is circumstantial to the point of being coincidental, but contact certainly wouldn't have been physically impossible.

On the subject of Ziggurats and Pyramids, isn't it about time someone in this game discovered Jaffa or the Gua'uld?

Also, good morning all.
