Why the Kiwi would be a great Animal to have in the Game

  • it would be our first nocturnal Bird
  • it's a Bird that nests in Burrows
  • it would be our first New Zealand Animal (except invasive Species like the Fallow Deer)
  • except the little spotted Kiwi all Species are vulnerable
  • we still need more Birds
  • it has a very unique Appeareance with its Fur like Feathers and its very long Beak that has the Nostrils at the End instead of the Base like most other Birds
  • it is a relatively small Animal
  • it is the smallest living Ratite. We would have the biggest and smallest existing Ratites then (the biggest one that isn't extinct yet is the Ostrich)

Also, it has a stupidly huge egg:

An Oceania Animals pack is so necessary. We can get a kiwi, takahe, Tasmanian devil, wombat species, wallaby species, tree kangaroo species and something else like another penguin or perentie or something. God, it would fill so many holes. Australian zoo sections still suck compared to all the other ones (except Europe I guess)

Don’t forget the emu!

My ideal for this pack would be;

1. Emu.
2. Tasmanian devil.
3. Common or hairy-nosed wombat (either northern or southern, doesn't matter).
4. Goodfellow's tree kangaroo.
5. North Island brown kiwi.
6. Little blue peguin.
7. Bennett's wallaby.
8. Tuatara.

It would fill pretty much all the gaps, IMO. If I were Frontier-God I'd throw in the lace monitor with the free update as well just for fun.

I'd swap either the emu or little blue penguin for the takahe personally, but I think we're pretty much on the same page otherwise.

For me the takahē is fascinating but the emu is an absolute staple of zoos worldwide and iconic of Australia. The penguin is also significantly more versatile than the takahē which isn’t found at all outside New Zealand. I’d include it if we were to get four DLCs a month but with four a year it’s hard to justify in my opinion.

The takahe doesn't have an international presence, and isn't even in every New Zealand zoo (only Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and Auckland Zoo have them IIRC). It isn't really crucial to the Oceanian roster.

That would be such an amazing pack to get! I'd even enjoy the wee penguin, though I feel like it would be nice to get a monotreme or another non-penguin bird (like a black swan or lyre bird) instead. But at the end of the day, all birbs are good birbs.

I usually put the little blue penguin in an Oceania Pack because it's native to both New Zealand and Australia, which means it counts as an animal towards both (in Australia it's known as the fairy penguin, in NZ it's the little blue penguin or korora).
