Why the lack of habitat birds?

there is no reason why Frontier cannot add these birds...if they not add flying bird in we then at least add ground dwellers. yes people want flying birds but at least it would make people that want birds a bit happy.

I do not know why you think birds would be harder to make...feathers except the wings/tail are made the same way the fur is in game by the way. :)

About that question, besides the ones already in that game (like ostrich, water birds and penguins), were you talking about flying ones like parrots and birds of prey?

Well whether that game will have flying birds or not, at least some of the birds in that game could fly (like flamingos and cranes) (originally or a little) although they couldn't or won't in that game.

I'm 100% fine with looping birds. Give me looping birds I can place where ever and build an enclosure around. I'd love a macaw that just sat there and preened itself/flapped it wings every now and then (doesn't even need to fly) over not having one. Bonus if it can interact with certain enrichment items.
My thought exactly, I would much rather them be in game to use than not at all.

They could litterally do it just like the bats loops. Like I'd be perfectly fine with them working the same by just having toggleable enrichment items and such.

Google isn't helping much but I'm curious now, do secretary birds breed well/at all in captivity?

That's a good question, considering they are an endangered species and present in a number of zoos, I thought they should breed well. But it looks is not that common, although certainly is not a "doesn't breed at all" situation.

Agreed. Every time a new DLC is announced I cross my fingers that we will get at least 1 new bird species, and yet I am usually disappointed.

I don't even care about flying birds and aviaries at this point, just give me more terrestial and aquatic birds! 8 species is just not enough for a zoo game of this size and scope.
Yeah. That will be what I'll be expecting too as soon as my wanted ones get accepted and be adoptable in Planet Zoo first.

I still care about flying birds, but for exhibits. Definitely not for habitats at this point.

But "fly in real life but not in the game" birds I am very much desperate for them. And other non-flying birds too of course. Frontier's done a wonderful job with the mammal roster, which should be the focus on on zoo games based on real life zoo representation, but their representation with birds is very lacking. Not in terms of past zoo game rosters, just in terms of real life.
