Why's my fuel gauge red?

The blue section of that fuel bar is purple on my screen. I think maybe your screen is emphasising too much red to the color?

Edit ... but no, the shields are showing blue.

Is it, perhaps, something to do with a supercharged jump, FSD injection or Guardian tech?

It's both - the pink bit is for the next jump, the red is the rest.

I wasn't doing either of the first two - I do have a Guardian booster but the gauge has been normal for the first 30kly since I put it on. I'm in Colonia so maybe weird things happen out here..
