I haven't really used any of the exploits / upcoming nerf targets I've read about here, and I do not feel like I'm unable to progress at a decent rate.

Then again, I do not expect to be an an Anaconda tomorrow.

They have to nerf these things otherwise everyone will be in an anaconda within a week and will have nothing else to do bu gank other commanders, since there is nothing to do once you have the best ship and no reason to pvp other than 'just because' so they are trying to mitigate the only real 'endgame' that exists right now (shooting commanders because #reasons) because apparently that's the worst thing ever and they don't want to give us things to do with out money (other than buy more ships)

This is the pitfal when you make a game where 'more money' is the only thing to strive for (as , no levels, skillpoints, assets you can buy, empires you can build -- nothing) .. they have to make it hard to get that money, or else people will rapidly lose interest in the game, since there is nothing to really do once you're in your conda unless you enjoy ganking other commanders.

let's be honest the 'community goals' and 'affecting system control' mechanics are laughable since it makes no real difference what faction controls a system or station, unless you happen to be hostile to them, which almost nobody is.

This. There's no real incentive in these community grind goals, or who controls what system. Its all the same, it doesnt matter from a gameplay perspective. Its all so meaningless. The only progression in this game is via credits. Your rank is meaningless, missions are the same. etc

all i do want to point out is with regular trading before this update it would take more than 300 hours just to get to the anaconda, maybe instead of making it harder to get the anaconda why dont they just add more better ships to get. more stuff to buy...
it just seems they are spreading the grinding very thin due to limited content.
i mean yes the anaconda is a big ship but i would love to fly bigger and badder ships.....maybe even a capital ship.
i know that will be in the future. but this game is already a massive grind it doesnt need to be more of a chore.

If something should be nerf is the trading. Or everything else should be buffed.

Earn decent money or earn more money than everything else combined? There's plenty of stuff for the former, hopefully there won't be much for the latter.

Earning mad money by going back and forth between the same 2 stations, trading the same 2 items for profit for hours on end was the most boring aspect of the game. Personally, I have found that I am earning more credits then before because stuff that was unprofitable before now can go up in price. All you have to do it pay attention and check prices rather then going back and forth over and over again with the same stuff in your cargo bay.

well maybe its because im near other npcs but the commodities i trade go from high>low>high.
maybe away from other players it will be much better.

Title.

Economic nerf. No more space truckin or luxury runs. Its already there. Bug? Not think so.
1.1 patch incoming pirates spawn fix. No more the ring npc farm. Few days left for it. Enjoy while it last, since Atm it went to 1st place in earn per hour since eco recent nerf.

What gonna left after in 1.1?
Exploring? We all gonna fly asps, and all gonna be racing who discovery something first?
Mining? Bigger ships cargo scoop is kinda broken still, and cobra it seems only one who is good at it so far. If we all start doing that, they will make nerf there too?\
Rare runs?

I began to think soon there it wont be possible to make more than 1mil per hour.

Seriously, this game gonna be not same anymore. Whats gotten into FD? They get mad because many aint wanted changes they did lately? Did too much Cmdrs got too much creds?
It seems that if someone would find something profitable, and make thread about it, FD learn that ppl have new way to earn and they nerf it.

Please FD, dont cut all ways to earn.

Seriously, im sick of seeing this meme. It was funny the first 10 times.....

As well as this overall complaint, sick of that too. Game has been in easy mode, and you got used to it. Now get used to playing it properly. It is still easy mode if you actually look around more than 20ly from Sol and attempt to find a good route rather than being carried by 3rd party tools.

I learned long ago from the Game That Shall Not Be Named that the most important thing to do is maximize your fun/hr. ratio. Forget credits/hr, "grinding", and all that silly jazz. Do things that you find fun, and everything else will sort itself out. I can have fun bipping around the galaxy in a loaner Sidewinder, as I can a A-spec Anaconda.

Whatever happened to the whole "taking pride in something you earned" thing anywho? Sure, it may take longer to finally plant your butt in an Anaconda, but the sense of accomplishment and adventures you have in progressing to that goal should make up for it. I hate to use the term "entitlement generation", but really...the way some people post around here, they think that they deserve anything they want out of the game, just for plunking down the same amount of cash that I did.

this isnt proper. or realistic
markets in real life are not this erratic unless do to some good reason. supply and demand isnt one of them
it is in best interests of a market to keep supply high and price stable.

like do you go to a store and find that the iphone has increased in price do to demand? does the iphone go from 400$ to 800$ in a day due to supply from that store??
this would lose customers and suppliers if they found out they would be getting less than standard pricing for some reason.

this isnt a proper economy. its way to sensitive.

i dont know what so easy about taking 300 hours to get to a anaconda. now its even more hours.

stop bringing everyone down around you because bounty hunting or pirating isnt making you that much money.....like in real life.

The West has a very stable pricing system for goods and services, however, many places prices are haggled for and there is variation.

Also, markets have trade ranges, with shocks to the market causes wild fluctuations...check prices for stock in the stock market, food and water during emergencies (gouging would happen freely IF the government does not step in and control those increasing their prices).

Anyway...

its always coming from you 84's
just because were not happy with crappy gameplay doesnt mean we want instant gratification, there are other games out there that want my business. elite is not the only game
and just because you were happy back in 84 with almost no graphics in a old game doesnt mean the rest of the world hasnt moved on. and we have a higher standard of gaming then you do.
welcome to 2015 its a fast time.
it takes at least 300 hours to get into a anaconda. this doesnt include losing your ships, or getting pirated. not that its a bad thing to take 300 hours but anymore than that and its just stating to us that they dont have any content so they will make it longer to get to the better stuff.

i 100% agree. i was hoping for dynamic meaning that if some player started a civil war then the commodity market would change. or some other like event (corruption, failure of business, ect) .
but whats done here isnt realistic. i think they jumped the gun.

First, do not tell me what to do. Second, I dont hang around Sol... Third, not using any "3rd party tools" ...

Youre sound like one who is "Carried" by such things as you said "there still easy mode"... accuse me like that... how pathetic of you... Seems for me that you failed to understood what I did wrote about. Did I wrote, like: "waah, no more easy mode, im gonna cry" or "I wont be able to get ananconda in 5 mins anymore"? Nope I did not.

Easy mode you say? Did that game was easy mode before? Im not so sure about that. Maybe for those who got too much free time, and are able to play or rather "grind" for 20/7 like true nolifes.... are you one of them? Trying maybe to be badass over there? Seems so.

What ship do you got, dude? And what you did to get it? Since when are you playing?
If you could awser that three questions, that would tell much about you "way of think", and why youre so upset. Assuming that you are able to reply mature anwser. Such angry "posts" only show others, how youre mentally immature, despite your actual age.

My pride of having maxed Python for I did worked hard to get, was gone in moment when FD decide to listen of bunch of complainers and nerf it. As someone other said ealier, "Getting bigger ships is what I want to do in this sandbox" is also what I want from this game as well. Not really gonna enjoy anymore my Maxed Python with incoming nerf and changes, as ship wont be able to do much beside defend and trade... Anaconda its only alternative for me with current ships list... Not really wanted to get one before as they have serious weak points, but changes maked that I changed my mind. Because I want to have Badass ship with greatest firepower of all I can get.

I wasn't born in 1984 and I completely agree with what they say, but I also think you are strawmanning now a bit; I don't think anyone is saying that the game is perfect and nothing should change. Of course there are problems, and of course there are things that could work better, but, you know, trading is actually pretty fine. I'm actually profiting more now, even. Here's a suggestion: Trade in something else than Palladium if you're doing that, and if that's not the problem you'll have to show me because I can't understand how you all keep having troubles getting good profits.

they didn't make the game any harder, just slower. Why do people keep confusing slower grinding with difficulty. How is the game any harder? If you have nothing to do with your life then fine, most others don't want to spend 3,4 or even 5 hours a day on this dull grind fest. I am 200ly from sol and I can find trade routes but they collapse quickly. The whole game is becoming a pointless time sink.

Use the population filter to make sure you are only looking at high population systems and the routes dont try up (assuming there aren't hundreds of people farming them) The rate of resupply is dependent on the populations.

Doing the same stuff over and over again is neither an adventure nor an accomplishment. Don't kid yourself and stop making excuses for the lack of last-ability in this game.

and are you trying to say people should just accept the quality of the game they got and be thankful after paying for it? If the game wasn't so poor people would be complaining.

The problem is this game has so much potential and could be amazing. This is why people post around here instead of of just giving up and moving on like people do with most games. Your suggestion that people just accept it is exactly what will kill this game off if we let it.
