Sorry Snow, but in this I believe you are somewhat delusional. That may be true for Star Citizen (since they are a US company) but FD is in Europe. Elite has a far larger base there they they do across the water.

Why not just preload the ship into a tube and blow it out under pressure.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the current undock times. Why do people want everything done at the speed of light.?

It's not a problem how fast game lets a player to reach some action, mate. Elite is not designed for "pew-pew-lol-yeah" market, never was. They have SC now, God bless it.
It's about sense and beauty. I can't use undocking time for anything but watching hangar lift rotate, lift up and then I watch that ramp slowly moving down. Any galactic company would put some advert on that point, maybe even galactic news or some game tips/news. So far I failed to find any sense in going up and down below the deck. Anything that would give some sense to the sequence would do!
Or make it beautiful. Personally I was expecting to see my ship undocking SLOWLY while listening The Waltz. Or any waltz, np. It's good for Paint Pack sales btw...
