Will These Animals Arrive?

To the designers and creators of Planet Zoo,
Will Planet Zoo have these animals in upcoming DLC? I hoped this zoo game have these from my wishlist but I'm not like 'forcing or giving hard time'.
1. African leopard and either white or black rhinoceros to complete the Big Five of Africa.

2. American alligator for North American pack. That'll complete the crocodilian set with gharial and any large crocodile.

3. Penguin, especially emperor ones if any/some zoos could handle in real-life.
4. King cobra the longest venomous and green anaconda the longest non-venomous snake and of all snakes. Will there be buildable larger terraniums for larger exhibit animals?
5. Dromedary camel for either Africa or Middle-East pack.

6. Cougar aka mountain lion aka puma. At least one subspecies, especially Rocky Mountains one.
7. Pinnipeds (seals and sea lions). Only marine mammals some zoo games (Zoo Tycoon 2001 and Zoo Constructor) and other adaptations had. Pinnipeds could be at least the only marine animals for the new zoo games.

And that's all I could think of. Any questions? Can reply/answer back?

i can't speak for Frontier Games obviously, but I'd like to specifically add my support to the King Cobra. I don't have a huge interest in exhibit animals (despite using them for early zoo money building) but I think a King Cobra would be iconic and recognizable enough that it ought to be included at some point.

I do not think you will get an answer for this. I even doubt ANY company would answer such questions.

Companies do not usually share their long term plans for dlc. So, the best you can do is to post your wishlish and hope for the animals to be in future dlc. But do not expect answers.

I would like to see all these animals.

What do you mean by completing crocodilian set? There's like 5 million animal species they're not Pokémon generations. What about giraffes and hippopotomus, why arent they in the africa "big 5"?
Same with caiman why aren't they included in the crocodilian "set"?

I think as far as the "big 5" that's referring to the big game hunting description. It's literally Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and African Buffalo. Not that I condone hunting or think in any way it has anything to do with the game's theme and message, it's simply widely known as "the big 5"

Crocodilians were separated in three families: Crocodylidae, Alligatoridae and Gavialidae. Caimans were in the family Alligatoridae. To me, one species of each family would/should do.

Thanks. And the DLCs of Planet Zoo took like four months to confirm. Jurassic Wolrd Evolution's DLCs happened faster. I wonder what part took longer for each DLC to happen?

I

I was talking about how COVID-19 caused Planet Zoo's DLCs to take very long to arrive/confirm.

ElectricMonk was saying that probably every aspect of developing new content has been slowed down by Covid. There are some who believe that a game development company can simply pick up and move home and continue their work at the same pace, but scheduling in a home environment is completely different to scheduling in a work environment. Not to mention the flow of information is less instantaneous, and relies upon people checking their emails, answering their phones, or being ready for remote meetings. Not to mention that when people work from home, they often have their families there with them, especially in a Covid situation where their spouses are also likely working from home, or their roomates, or their children.

My own place of work reduced the hours of the office staff to four a day during lockdown to try and accommodate these new situations - I imagine Frontier was forced to do something similar.

Then could the designers and creators of Planet Zoo give me hints of upcoming animals and DLCs? Maybe I won't be sure or hardly understand.

In general, frontier start hinting new stuff only at the last minute. It’s very unlikely that they’ll hint anything more thank a week or two before the next DLC drops

No. That isn't how they operate, and has never been the way they operate. It's a bit silly to expect them to change their ways now.

Anyone knew who decided what species and subspecies to put in Planet Zoo? To be honest, I'm kinda worried if it took like years for Planet Zoo to finish all DLCs with animal species. I don't know if I'll like that Planet Game (either play or watch) until all DLCs with new animals were shown and that'll take years due to COVID-19 that definitely cannot be removed. It's not like haze that could be removed by long, heavy rain.

I'm not sure that i understand but, new species will (likely) be added for a the length of time the game is supported. As a company that needs to make money, Frontier (like any other company) can only justify allocating resources to a game's support as long as it's profitable (actually, only so long as those resources couldn't be used in some other way that might be more profitable). Given that there are an (effectively) infinite number of species that could potentially be added this means that yes, it will take years to finish all DLCs unless the game proves so unprofitable that its abandoned sooner rather than later, in which case the 'final' game will have fewer species.

Sorry I ask and say these but...
So how many species (full and exhibit) will Planet Zoo have altogether? I hardly mind from 100 species to 120-150 altogether. Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Constructor start with 50. Zoo Tycoon 2 and Zoo Empire start with 30. And by the time I realize that it's 'too good to be true' causing me to stop liking Planet Zoo's set of animals, it'll be waste of years for nothing for me.

it depends how long it remains profitable to keep adding new content. I’d guess, though, that after Frontier stop releasing new stuff modders will keep adding new species for years. My best guess (but it’s just a guess) would be another 28 to 40 habitat species and 9 to 20 exhibit species added by Frontier. That’s just an estimate though. I don’t think anyone, even the devs, could know at this point.
