General / Off-Topic Wimbledon

Andy won the first set and I think people were like "Yes, that gives him an advantage over Djockovic"

Then he won the second set and I think people were like "Whoa! He could actually win this"

Then as he got to the end of the third set "Bloody Hell! He's actually going to win it!"

That was the most awesome tennis match I have ever seen. Conrats Andy!!!!

Djokovic versus Del Potro was 10 times better as a match... think of the very best points, and the most dramatic moments of the final and then think of a match FULL of that! ;)

Did you know that Andy is the second GB player to win Wimbledon and is also the second player born in Scotland to win Wimbledon but Fred Perry (the other winner) was born in Birmingham :)

I do love a good match, and as I had hoped, Murray went up Early making poor Djokovic remember every hit from that Del Porto match..

I do however watch tennis ALL the time, every tournament and I know..

When the top players play each other... they make the game look average. Its quite common for people playing Andy having to almost play a different game than the usual pretty tennis to keep in the game.

But that is part of the game for me... Nadal Murray is an amazing battle...

I think another Grand Slam is on the cards this year... and I hope no 1 ranking for Murray!

Well he know has 2 of the 4 Grand Slam tournaments so he can't be far off the number 1 spot! Absolutely brutal game of tennis, the power and speed of these guys is immense. In particular some of the sprints that Murray did to reach the net from the back of the court were outstanding.

If anyone didn't see it and is interested the BBC documentary is being repeated tonight (Monday the 8th July) at 9pm. Pretty decent watch.
