I suspect that they are already auto tinting around stars, otherwise we would all be blinded within 50ls... so no need to visit the store.

There's this British prototype nuclear bomber. Can't recall the name. However, it had a beautiful gold-tinted canopy to reflect the flash of a nuclear blast. I'd love that in Elite.

Presumably, the OP is talking about a cosmetic item which might be flogged in the store?
If I have an affinity for a ship, it gets a couple of paint jobs.
If I really, really like a ship, I'll buy a ship-kit if there's one available.
Up to now I haven't really felt the urge to buy custom flght-suits, tattoos, bobbleheads, coloured exhausts or coloured lasers.
Tinted windows go in the 2nd category.

I'd rather pay for tint delete on Saud Kruger ships.
FD really found the best player base it could have...we keep suggesting ways it can take money off us lol.
I expected this to be another complaint that the Saud Kruger (sp?) ships have permatint. To be honest, I'd like to remove the tint from my dolphin, no I don't feel a need to add it to other ships, but I wouldn't be upset to have the option. I wouldn't pay real money for it though I don't think.
I pay for no scratches in the windshield.
I fly Saud Kruger. Their windows are already tinted.
The EA-6A's and B's Prowlers had gold canopies, the A-6 Intruder bomber they derived from did as well I believe, but I never saw one of those in person.
