Hardware & Technical Windows 10 and X52Pro? Profiles not working? Look here.

Due to the drivers not being digitally signed windows 10 will disable them leaving you with profiles that will not work correctly, a short google of the situation led me to the following thread over at RSI: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/277401/psa-for-windows-10-and-x52-pro-users

I have performed the old driver install and my X52Pro profiles now work correctly without messing around.

I did in the meantime submit a support ticket to Madcatz over the lack of up to date signed drivers and received the following this morning.

Thank you for contacting the MadCatz Technical Support Team.

We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the software.

Please be advised that our development team is working around the clock on the drivers and software for the newly released Windows 10 however they did not advise us of an official release date.

Thank you for your patience
.

So hopefully we shall get up to date, signed drivers at some point in the near future.

This is good to know :) I have a feeling they will do better than AMD are!

I also submitted a ticket with regards Windows 10 drivers for the x52 Pro and received this email from support this afternoon :

Dear Xxxxxxx,

Thank you for your patience.

Please be advised that we now have a new X52 Pro driver version available on our website.

However, I couldn't find any Windows 10 drivers on that page :(

The version I downloaded was 7.0.40.9, but can't remember what the previous latest version was :p

I have the non - pro version and was having the "unplug" computer freeze, and loss of calibration.

I completely uninstalled the drivers and all software - plugged it in and windows recognized it ... Works flawlessly now, but no mouse wheel or mfd light. - it actually works less glitchy than ever

You just can't have profiles or any advanced functionality/customization

But I don't miss that with it working better than ever :)

I hate to be "that guy", but it's only fair to point out that my X52 Pro profiles are working fine. I can switch between Elite and FSX profiles through the system tray applet and everything works as expected. I haven't tried editing anything, or creating a new profile, so if that's what folk are having issues with then I can't comment. But actual switching is no problem at all.

This is on a 64bit system that was upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 Home.

Mine worked fine for a week as well, then it started playing up. A re-install fixed it temporarily too. It's great that yours works fine but it still needs an updated driver from Saitek to address the issue.

Make sure you save your profiles in the Default Location provided when saving profiles

Yes. I learn't this the hard way.

Thanks so much for this, I'd tried rolling back the drivers and that alone didn't fix it. Hopefully the updated drivers that are coming will also fix my Mode switch on the joystick (and it isn't just faulty), Hopefully. Still everything else is now working again. Ace :)
