For those early adopters of the now live Windows 11, a question:
Is it behaving and is Elite OK under the O/S?

Well, there have been - rumours, at least - of bugs already starting to appear. There's an artical here:It was already reported windows 11 worked fine (with EDO)
No idea why you doubt that. MS has always been very good with compatibility. They need to support millions of applications some over 20 years old

Whilst MS are pretty good with compatibility, they're also known for introducing unforeseen issues when their software goes live. My question was to see if there had been any issues yet encountered with ED. If not, I would take the plunge with a view to roll back if necessary.

The company I work for is already moving to w11. So far we migrated around 900 clients to w11. We only had the usual PEBCAK issues
I read something yesterday about a 20 - 25% gaming performance hit due to W11 using something called VBS to sandbox games.
I'll post a link if I can find the article again.
I'm in no hurry to be an MS beta tester - I already do that for FD...

It looks like it's something that can be turned off, but I'd like to see the fallout before upgrading.Interesting, but it totally makes sense since W11 is being advertised as "much secure" and performance and security are usually opposing goals.
It looks like something that is enabled only on certain machines. Not sure whether it is or not on mine so I'll take a look - although I'm still on Win10 anyway.Interesting, but it totally makes sense since W11 is being advertised as "much secure" and performance and security are usually opposing goals.
Nice to know there's at least one early adopter willing to lead the way!I can see the pitchfork crowd has arrived
Having used (and written code for) windoz since it's initial release as a DOS wrapper, I find it amusing that folks playing this temperamental/buggy game are worried about a new OS release being temperamental and/or buggy. Just my warped sense of humor I guess.![]()
My PC is primarily for gaming. For more serious stuff, I use my iMac.Well, i can stop playing EDO any time.
I cannot stop playing my windows in the same manner. I actually need a working and stable windows machine and the builds i used were quite stable (i usually dont update w10 for every feature update - for example i skipped 2004 and updated from 1903 to 20h2)
