Hardware & Technical windows 11 report

Microsoft business cycle:

1) Observe that new sales are dropping.
2) Decide on making new version.
3) Gather information on which functions users use the most.
4) Instruct UI team to change icons for all of those and move them to a different submenu of another submenu.
5) Announce launch of "new and much improved" version.

The upgrade from 10 is free, so MS won't be making money from that. It has stringent hardware requirements though so hardware manufacturers will be busy trying to comply so they can sell Win11 with their new stock.

Well that's good news, then :)

Let's hope they don't try to force it down everybody's throat this time, because that did nothing to endear them to me.
I don't think it's good news. It means Windows is no longer a product for its users beyond getting them to use it for ulterior motives and revenue streams.
