nice try troll.

So what does that direct mode do?
Stops Windows seeing the headset as a monitor or extended display. It can cause problems displaying games in the headset and can reduce performance.
Hmmm, definitely trying that when I get home. I wonder if that might be causing issues when I try to play oculus games. All the games i tried have a nauseating motion when looking around, like there is some barrel distortion that isn't being adjusted for my odyssey.
Edit: another thing happening is when I load elite dangerous, the oculus app opens up as well. Is there a way to stop it from auto loading?
Have you guys experienced any issues with voice attack on this? My voice attack worked great on my rift for some reason i cannot seem to figure out it is just not hearing the mic array. It shows it is listening and that is the device it shows defaulted to and even if I go into my sounds properties the mic is working. Lots of little annoyances I am not used to as I had a specific way I launched into Elite from the Rift this WMD seems like it has a lot of stuff open in the taskbar Windows Mixed Reality, Steam VR, Steam, etc. Any tips for quick launching into Elite?
I dont use voice attack so cant help there. I always launch elite from Dr Kaii's EdProfiler, so that I can simply choose which profile to use, VR, non VR etc. But even then it needs to launch WMR and stream VR, there is no native way to run elite on WMR without steamVR.Have you guys experienced any issues with voice attack on this? Samsung Odyssey+, i7-6700K (no OC) 32GB RAM, EVGA 1080 Ti. Problem: Two windows on my Windows 10 desktop when running ED, mirroring my WMD display "Elite Client" and "Windows Mixed Reality". Did an Service Ticket with Frontier and finally did what they asked: Deleted ED and all VR related applications. I then reinstalled Windows Mixed Reality, Windows Mixed Reality for Steam, and SteamVR. I then did a clean re-installation of Elite Dangerous (from Frontier, not Steam). It worked! One window was shown, so I started adding back Voice Attack, my HCS voice (Alix), and finally EDProfiler. I use the latter to go between Desktop and VR, having two profiles. I now suddenly have the same problem I started with, and I think EDProfiler may be the cause.
Ideas please, as I have to believe that performance is limited to my WMR headset. ...or is it normal to have two "mirrors" of your VR game on your desktop?
