Wing Navigation and Routing

I'm not sure if this is the correct topic, but I play in a wing quite often, and navigating is quite a hassle because both ships, although almost the same setup generate different routes to a destination because of differences in jump distance.

What's the easiest way to deal with this? We tried nav-lock but that's not perfect.
It would be a great solution if one of the wing members sets a route and that the other gets the same route in his navigational instruments.
The person with the least jump range should create the route (else the other would get exceeding jump range messages).
That way you'll both follow the same route a lot better instead of ending up in a different system suddenly (specially the systems with codenames which only vary in the last part).

It's a pity that once winged up all ships 'learn' the jump range of the slowest ship and then use that to calculate jump. There is a slider already to select max range, if it was a toggle option when winged it might make travelling sessions less annoying?

We are currently flying in an about similar ASP explorer setup and the 'issue' is less, because routes are about the same.
Also only selecting scoopable start on your route gives less alternatives.

But yeah, it might make it a lot easier if the playing in wing could have some attention in terms of user friendliness.
