In almost every patch there are several changes that are a direct response to community discussions.
I should keep a list, because every time I hear someone say that FD does not read the forums and does not listen it irritates the hell out of me.

Wish they would do something for miners though.. :'(

Did you see the prices on Painite? Pretty sure that's a miner-only dealio. Well, you could steal it from other miners, but still. IDK if that's the only extra goody out in the rocks there though.

It would be nicer for all the explorers especially those who just turned in data recently to have a retroactive bonus. You kept track of first discovered before, so maybe it's possible for them?

Great Job !!
I'm also glad the insurance refund level has been raised.
Oh.. No restore of colors in the galactic map planned ? (alegiance, economy type, etc)

Hi everyone,

Update 1.2.03 is due to go live at 4pm - expect up to 30 minutes of server downtime to allow us to apply the update.

See the full list of changes below:

- Fix crash in Hyperdrive, usually encountered when navlocked onto wingmen
- Fix for low level GUI crash loading into game
- Increased earnings from bounties
- Increased earnings from combat bonds
- Increased earnings from selling exploration data
- Refineries show up on the internal panel again and can be turned on/off
- Added shortcut key binding to open system map
- Fix issue stopping shield generators being repairable if fitted in some slots
- Fix issues with Fer-de-Lance scooping
- Stop toxic cargo damaging modules you cannot repair such as radiators or the cockpit, power plant is still corroded though!
- Fixed incorrect reference to mouse axes for headlook controls
- Fixed the onionhead paint job
- Freelook Y-axis disabled when Starport Services tab opens fixed
- Surface scanners also have a range, and should therefore have a range field in Outfitting Item Info
- Should now be able to switch back to Starport services menu if you check the comms panel whilst docked

Server side Changes:

- Decreased purchase costs of Vulture, FerDeLance and Federal Dropship
- Credited all Commanders who currently own a Vulture, FerDeLance or Dropship with the difference in prices for the ships and armour.
- Increased sale prices of exploration data
- Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra now always stocks all ships and modules
- We always recommend Commanders carry enough credits to cover insurance costs, but if the worst does happen, maximum available debt levels have been increased to 600,000 credits. Fly safe, Commanders.

Please increase profit from mining as well. Now mining is for away from other way of earnings....

it is great to hear such changes but he is right. mining has to be impuved too. Just little mineral scanner can greatly inchrease profits.
just imagine you can scan planet atmosphere, metal %, find life from Light seconds. You can get info of modules inside shielded ship from 5km. And one can not scan what composes asteroid in front of him even aproximatly? no sereously? he is just in few meters!

If these tweaks manage to sort out mercs and bounty hunters in terms of income parity (maybe not entirely, but at least it's a step in the right direction), we'll have smuggling, piracy, and mining left to tackle...

I think they might have made smuggling worthwhile by increasing the profits for that too in 1.2, although I haven't tested it to make sure. They definitely increased the sale price of illegal goods under some circumstances.

This new patch, though, is unbelievable. I just looked out my window and there are literally people dancing in the streets.

If I can stop this boring trading I have been doing for the past two weeks and bounty hunt to get my python instead this is super great. But I don't think it is going to make close to the 1.1 million round trip between two systems within 17Ly of each other. Still think trading in my Type 7 is going to be far more profitable unless this Bounty Hunting bufff is HUGE! Still nice to see I can bounty hunt when I just can't stand it any more for a little while without loosing as much money now.

Edit: The 1.1 mil would be two trips there and back. I am apparently not awake yet.

YES! Oh my lord yes! I've recently got the exploration bug. I got back from a week long foray last night and sold all my data. I made a couple of million which is nice but not enormous for 7 days of play. Whilst I don't do it for the money (I do it because I love it) more money from it would be excellent so I can buy other ships and try other aspects of the game.

The direction they're going with this is very good. I was a bit disappointed to begin with (although also overawed by the scope and shear size) but things are just getting better and better.
