Wipe?

The devs carried pc progress from beta to full release. They wiped 2 weeks prior because a glitch allowed people to cheat. You guys are being trolled. PC guys are the ones who pay to beta and they want to see console guys suffer through the same. Just play the game.

I think we kept repeating things. We all know a beta program could or couldn't have a wipe.
All I'm asking is a "yes" or a "no". Something David Braben or someone else in Frontier development group can answer just now. At least 10% of new posts on this forum are about it.
That's all, "yes" or "no".
Cynicism aside, they probably don't know yet. My best bet is that they'd love to wipe for various reasons, but they're still assessing their clients reactions to such wipe.

If we end up with a shared galaxy (PC/Xbox) then obviously first discovery data will be lost. But I see no technical reason not to keep the player progression (rep/ship/money).

But I expect the worst. In the end they'll probably decide to wipe for troll's sake.

To be honest I never even thought about it. What I thought is although the game is not complete, it will be patched from time to time until it is complete and then we just go on. I thought this would be seamless.
I'd bet that's how most people understood this when it was announced. They definitely should have made it clearer that there would be a strong possibility of a wipe.
