These are some of my personal choices for Asian animals, divided up into basic groups (nowhere near all the species I'd want, but then I would be here all night if I were to list them):
Carnivores (there are still all sorts of Asian carnivores that would be different to what we already have in the game)
Yellow-throated marten
Owston's civet
Striped hyena
A small cat (fishing, Asiatic golden, rusty-spotted or Pallas's are my preferences)
Sloth bear
Basic zoo species (the sort of animals a small zoo or one that is just starting out may have)
Bar-headed goose
Blackbuck
Himalayan monal pheasant
Red junglefowl
Domestic yak
The oddballs (unusual animals that could really make an Asian section feel more unique, including lots of species suitable for mixed exhibits)
Golden takin
Mainland raccoon dog
Dusky leaf monkey
Prevost's squirrel
Bukharan deer
The diversity (species quite similar to others in the game, but would mean that more choices could be made)
Arabian oryx
Goitered gazelle
Sunda pig-tailed macaque (would actually probably be easier to make from the mandrill than the Japanese macaque)
Green peafowl
Visayan warty pig (quite remarkably, these are more common in European zoos than warthogs and here in the UK are the most commonly-kept wild pig)
The unique (animals with nothing else quite like them currently in the game)
Giant Asian pond turtle
Indian spotted chevrotain
Burmese python (I have seen enough images of outdoor enclosures for this species that I would be comfortable getting them as habitat animals*)
* Both of these images show outdoor open-topped displays for pythons in zoos in Brazil. In this first one, I can see at least three Burmese pythons (including one albino) on the land area near the logs:
Spacious and with a considerably big water area.

This one is a mixed outdoor enclosure for Burmese and reticulated pythons (I think it is a reticulated python curled up under the palm tree in the top left of the photo):
Enclosure holding reticulated and burmese phytons.

I chose the Burmese python because it seems to be one of the more climatically-tolerant of the pythons and would have about the same temperature range as the Nile monitor.
The exhibits (I have chosen ten exhibit species I would like to see)
Tokay gecko
Asian water dragon
Chinese crocodile lizard
Burmese vine snake
King cobra
Mangrove cat snake
Spider-tailed horned viper
Kaiser's spotted newt
Malaysian jungle nymph
Giant Malaysian palm weevil
