Witch Hunter?

When I play the game I think I would like the role of hunting down bounty hunters.
Any suggestions for a good name for this role?

Why not?

I like Hunter-Killer although it does sound a bit like a submarine.
Although Assassin, Mercenary etc. do sound okay but I was hoping for something unambiguous and quite specific.
Bounty hunter hunter might be a little too specific..... lol

Hunter Killer.

wasn't that the name of the models of machines in The Terminator?

Not that has anything to do with anything...........................

edit, yep

I guess we have to ask 'why' someone wants to hunt BHs.
I figure it most be some sort of prestige or challenge.
Like a Pariah.

For sure challenge, not to mention prestige and credits. I guess I am naturally assuming that a BH is a more difficult target than most pirates.

My opinion (which i am not saying is necessarily correct) it would be the same people who play online games with the sole purpose of killing humans (dare I use the term griefers?)

With potentially no ingame bounty - for legal bounty hunters - I dont see any logical other reason why anyone would hunt them, other than murder for the sake of murder.

Certainly, unless the game offers a bounty board where pirates can put a bounty on a BH's head (which would make the BH killer an assassin or a BH themselves) then I see little other justification for it.

Personally myself I would frown upon any player who just kills others with no actual game reward, esp those that do it in the iron man mode

If you get the credits from a client then you're still a bounty hunter, albeit a specialised one. (Not that different from a BH who only hunts slave traders though).

If you get the credits from salvage or extortion then you're a specialised pirate.

If you just go around killing bounty hunters (or any other profession) for the sake of killing them, then I guess you're some kind of weird obsessed serial killer :)

How are you thinking to make credits from it? Scooping the cargo or from Pirate bounty contracts? I personally hope that the big factions or even single star systems will give contracts out on enemy players (mercenaries and BHs). I like the idea that a player can be a hero in, say, Alliance space and a scourge in Federal space.
I don't think it's safe to say that the BH are going to be the top dogs but there is a certain sense of justice about hunting them.

Edit: sorry, more info added while I was typing. :)

I am assuming that someone who hunts down Bounty Hunters is on the wrong side of the law.

Names for gangland/underworld killers, whose activities may include getting rid of bounty hunters could be

Plugger
Cleaner
Eliminator
Enforcer
Butcher
Slayer

or you could go for an animal motif, but this means 'creating' a term for the role you have in mind

Wolfshead (medieval term for an outlaw)
Jackal (as in the film 'Day of the Jackal')
Coyote (NA Indian tradition)
Hellhound

or some bird of prey, or a large cat.
