WONDERING WHAT THE '93 DLC WILL BE....

I think it will have this, its just speculation from my part:

• It may have 2-3 new maps, since this will most likely be its own campaign, players will have a stronger attachment to the story of the original JP trilogy. So we may have an extra map to play with in this pack, extending the overall story.
• San diego would be a new location, but there is also a possibility of japan and europe as this is probably a JP story that became successful as Hammond intended.
• Segisaurus will most likely make her debut, and will be the same size as the homalocephale. She is the last of the dinosaurs on the original Nublar map.
• There will be 2-4 more additional dinosaurs introduced alongside her, so we may get 3-5 in total. And it will include some oddities and some iconic ones like oviraptor, a prosauropod, and protoceratops
• This dlc will be heavily focused on the guests. JP has a more market focused story of gathering guests from around the world, more than JW's message of the dinosaurs as living breathing animals that need care too. This would mean we would get some new attractions to go alongside our parks and facilities to cater to guests.
• Terrariums would be introduced: These buildings will be like those of zoo tycoon and planet zoo and house in dinosaurs too small to fit into the game's current dinosaur engine like Compsognathus and microceratus. We saw how the homalocephale is so small that darting her is possible but more difficult, and that she is submerged underwater when she walks to it, any smaller would not be as enjoyable in technical terms. So terrariums would make sense as a building that boosts fun ratings that is not a bowling alley or arcade.
• BIrd cage: In JP3, we have a dome for the pteranodon, and the pteranodon were visibly part of JP since JPTLW. Like the terrarium, the birdcage would house flying reptiles that would act like the terrariums.
• Some JPOG attraction ideas, like the tower with 360 vision, an underground viewing dome, or a balloon ride. This pack will introduce many ways to enjoy the park's dinosaurs.
• Safari jeeps as you noted. I do not think they will be driveable as the original JP jeeps were on a rail, but you could drive a classic jeep that is run with fuel. Would make for some scary power outage moments.
• Skins! As you also stated, there will be skins for our legacy dinosaurs including T-rex, triceratops, ankylosaurus, brachiosaurus, and most important of all: The raptors.

These are some of the things I think will come to the JP pack if it comes. I do think that the JP pack would have the most love of all the expansion packs as it is heavily based on the beginnings of this franchise, and fans who clamor the original JP would want to get into this pack with great expectations.

Most likely:

  • ford explorer skins for the JT tour
  • '93 building skins
  • one new building
  • three new dinosaurs (segisaurs and i have no idea what else)
  • movie skins for raptors and rex
  • 2 new maps ('93 nublar and Lost World Sorna)
  • new acu copter skin?

less likely (but hopefully):

  • one new ride (cretaceous cruise, hot air balloon)
  • third map JP San Diego (sorna map would work like claire dearing dlc nublar north where you and tembo go get dinos to bring to the next map)
  • more decor

A Jurassic Park pack? Hmm... frankly I'm not expecting too much... the last few DLC packs barely added anything truly new to the game...

There will likely add a fourth "Center" building in the form of the Jurassic Park Visitor Center... and a third car ride in the form of the classic Jurassic Park Jeep ride.

They'll certainly add more dinosaurs... that said, I doubt Segisaurus will be one of them... the real-world Segisaurus was in the same size category as Compsognathus and Microceratus... so unless they come up with some viable means of including those as well, the idea of adding Segisaurus seems just as unlikely. If we're lucky we'll get something really unique like Therizinosaurus or Plateosaurus...

sigh ...honestly the one thing I'd love to see most of all at this point in time is some real depth to the gameplay... sadly I fear our only hope of seeing of that in JWE is if they make a sequel and use Planet Zoo as the foundation.

well something I have been wondering is if the dinos we thought would be in the herbivore pack are going to be in that mysterious 'third' dlc or if they will simply be added in the '93 dlc. I mean doesnt really make sense but its not like anything else would either.

I thought this was debunked a while ago that there will be no '93 DLC? Those '93 files in the game were leftover from a tutorial that was scrapped from the final game. There will be no '93 DLC, unless I missed something since then?

I guess that in the dcc hopefully a few dinosaurs from the novel submission smoke. There are a few interesting species left if you take Cearadactylus out, which would be unlikely. But perhaps we can hope for Mussaurus, Hadrosaurus, Callovosaurus, Oviraptor or Hypsilophodon.

Greenhouses were also leftovers from the pre-release stages.

Having said that, I don't know when it was debunked: a JP themed DLC is by far the most requested feature since even before launch.

On the other hand, I've already learned to not expect anything great so, while I agree with all out there saying a 1993 DLC will be JWE last chance to shine and get salvation, my feel is that 80% of the above suggested won't likely be happening :(

I don’t believe the 1993 DLC pack has been debunked yet, the 4Chan leaks from a few months ago provided remarkably accurate information regarding the details about Carnivore Pack and Claire’s Sanctuary. With the rumoured release date planned for December, I still think it’s in the running.

As to what I believe a 1993 “Classic Jurassic” pack would contain, I'm basing on what was revealed in the leaks, the recent Claire’s Sanctuary and a little speculation:

1. Similar to Claire’s Sanctuary, Classic Jurassic will be a brand new alternate campaign and have its own separate subsection in the main menu and separate save files.

2. The campaign itself will be set not long after Hurricane Clarissa where after careful planning, the Hammond Foundation have decided that now is the time to return to Site B (Isla Sorna) and Site A (Isla Nublar), and get Jurassic Park back online. The first few missions will be to repair and reconstruct the cloning facilities on Site B. After we've made the mission selected dinosaurs, they'll be transported to Isla Nublar in staggered deliveries.

Once we get to Site A, we will have to quickly repair the damaged fences and recapture the loose dinosaurs before the newly made animals are delivered. From there, we'll have to rebuild the rest of Jurassic Park and get it ready for visitors. After completing the missions, successfully running the park and preventing further attempts of sabotage, we unlock the ability to use JP style buildings and dinosaur skins for both normal campaign mode and sandbox mode.

Regarding the layout, the map for Isla Nublar would be a combination of Isla Sorna and Nublar North; a large sprawling loop that’s based on the satellite map for the original movie.

3. The two brand new buildings in this pack will be the Original Visitor Center and Park Drive, whilst all the other buildings will have slight remodelling done to make them fit within the Jurassic Park aesthetic.

Park Drive is of particular interest because it will essentially be a combination of both the Monorail and Gyrosphere/Jurassic Tour. It will also be both the only attraction that players will be build during the CLC's campaign, and destroyable via set theatres by certain dinosaurs; this will make players think outside the box when making their own Jurassic Park.

4. As with previous DLC packs, there will be three new dinosaurs added to the game. However, it’s very hard to say for certain which species will make it, but if I were to say with some certainty; it would have to be Compsognathus, Mussasaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus. There will also be new skins and model tweaks for dinosaurs that were featured in the JP Trilogy.

5. An aviary will be added with skins based on both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, however it won’t be too in-depth due to the game's limitations. There will be animation loops within the building and some theatres for escape (once they escape, they can’t be re-contained).

I dont know why people keep asking for the aviary and water creatures. We already know that this game cant handle either and if they did add something they would fall very short of people's expectations(even the jaded people). Not only that it would mean we would have to wait another 3 to 6 months for something actually useful to be added to the game.

You know that, and I know that.

But the aviary was something that the leaker talked about along with Claire’s Sanctuary and the rest of the 1993 DLC pack.

Well, let's face it, there are still dinosaurs from the franchise that still haven't entered the game yet:
  1. Compsognathus (and, by extension, Procompsognathus) is probably the last of the movie dinosaurs yet to be included in the game. I'm not counting it out yet, but I believe it hasn't entered the game yet as it's 1) really small and 2) has some breaks with believably issues (in part, because of its size).
  2. Segisaurus, which was featured on the original Jurassic Park brochure, but not seen in the films. Probably hasn't been included for the same reason as Compsognathus: it's small size (thought with Homalocephale now in the game, probably nothing's off the table right now).
  3. Microceratus, which was featured in the novel as Microceratops, and mentioned in the background materials for the Jurassic World franchise. Again, like Compsognathus and Segisaurus, probably considered too small to include in game, for now.
  4. Coelurus, which is mentioned as a possibly recently bred dinosaur due to hatch in the original novel.
  5. Hadrosaurus, seen on the list of bred dinosaurs in the original novel, but not really seen.
  6. Hypsilophodon, featured in both novels (though apparently they were confused with Dryosaurus in the first one).
  7. Othneilia (or Othneilosaurus), also mentioned to be part of the park's original inhabitants in the original novel.
  8. Mussaurus, featured in the Lost World novel. It probably hasn't been included in the game yet because 1) the only fossil of the dinosaur yet found is a small infant and 2) the one depicted in the Lost World is just large enough to stand on the hand of a full-grown man (no doubt based on the original impressions of the only fossil).
  9. Ornitholestes, which is mentioned in the Lost World novel. It's often the dinosaur ascribed to the corpse found on the Coast Rican beach in the first third (though personally I always thought the corpse was that of Carnotaurus given what we see later, and the character who identifies it as Ornitholestes says it in what strike me as a rather dismissive manner).
I would welcome any number of these dinosaurs into the game; not to mention a whole list of dinos not associated with the franchise we could include.

Actually, they've apparently discovered adult Mussaurus fossils which indicate that, while it was still quite small, Mussaurus is plenty big enough to be included, especially after the inclusion of Homalocephale...

Not debunked. Developers often use scrapped ideas for future content. As others pointed out a 1993 JP DLC is one of the most highly requested piece of content for the game other than the Mosasaurus and the flying reptiles. People still show up and ask for this stuff.

I have no idea what they will put in the JP 1993 DLC. But I am sure the basic stuff will be there like a version of the visitor center, the JP tour vehicle and so on.

I also don't know how they will handle the campaign or story for the game. I imagine we will have a lot of generic voice actors standing in for most of the characters.

I dont recall the aviary being part of the leak. unless there was a new one I havent seen.
The leak that featured the aviary was the final one and was put online at the end of May, more than a month after the previous leak was put online; it was an easy thing to miss. However, it was this particular leak that we learned about the details of Claire’s Sanctuary, such as Nublar North's map being U-Shaped and how the palaeobotany system worked.

Huh. Tells you how closely I've been paying attention.

One dinosaur I forgot to add was the early ceratopsian Psittacosaurus. While Psittacosaurus hasn't been featured in the books or novels, it was featured in Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood, before it was refurbished into Jurassic World: The Ride (they're still in the Orlando and Japan versions of the original ride). It's only slightly smaller than the recently added Homalocephale, so I could see Frontier adding it to the game. The lack of the comb on the tail could be explained away by the fact that the dinosaurs are all (supposedly) female; I think only one fossil has been found with the comb, so making it a male-only thing is not out of left field.

I won't include Ultrasaurus from the rides into that list, because 1) The real-life Ultrasaurus (from Korea) is based on a fragmented fossil, so not much is known about it (aside from "it's a sauropod"), to the point where classification of the genus is considered in doubt and 2) the dinosaur it's obviously based on, Ultrasauros, is now considered synonymous with Supersaurus, which looks more like Diplodocus than it does the Brachiosaurus/Giraffititan beasts featured in the rides.
