Worth It?

Hi All,

First time posting. I've followed these forums from time to time, and recently thought about buying the early access. Is it worth it do you think? From what I've seen on videos and such, it looks great so far, but you never know. Are there any huge restrictions with it still being in Alpha and such. Just wanted to get some opinions.

Thanks so much

If your not a sandbox builder and mainly want it for the management aspect wait. If you just want to build parks go for it if you have the extra disposable income for the Alpha.

If you've watched videos of the game on YouTube and like it, I'd recommend you do get the early bird access. Instead of waiting till they release the full game later this year.
Pre-ordering the game and getting the early bird Alpha access costs 49 British Pounds, equivalent to about NZ$104 or roughly AU$92. Even some Xbox One games are more expensive.
The alpha has a limited choice of coasters and food/drink shops, but so far it has enough rides and content to please everyone. You're need a powerful gaming PC to run it on High settings though. If you're into The Sims 4, Cities Skylines, Tycoon games, or Minecraft, then I highly recommend it. It is worth the money.
As for restrictions, you can download the game from Frontier, Unlimited amount of times (in case it gets deleted from your PC). Just remember to sign in to your Frontier account which I think you get when you buy the game. I think the license is for one user/PC but I have the game installed on both my laptop and my desktop gaming PC and I can play it on both. But you can only play it on one PC at a time (digital rights management thingy).

I'm having a lot of fun playing it and building parks. It encourages you to be creative since there are only two themes. I'd say it's worth it if you have the money to spend, since you'll get access to the updates and whatever else too.

I was in your shoes 3 days ago. I posted and asked if I should buy now. I ended up buying the early access and have really enjoyed it so far. Like ppl have already said there is no management features in the game right now and few coasters and rides, but more rides, coasters, and features will be added in Alpha 2 next week. The building tools are amazing and I was creating more realistic and more detailed buildings than I ever did in RCT3, so if you like building then I would definitely recommend picking it up now.

I think you should wait tbh.

I got early access and played for a week or so but soon got bored due to there being no challenge. I likely wont play again until the game is complete as I want it to be fresh!! I don't want to get bored of it too soon. The drip feed of features just hasn't been for me.

Live and learn but ultimately I regret paying £50. However, many others will have a different story!

If you love building and being creative, it's definitely worth it right now.

If you're not as into that but are more into the management/strategy side of the game, I'd wait until release (or maybe phase 3).
