Would a 1070 support VR?

Title.

That's all I have to ask today. :)

It will, but the main question should probably be if upgrading to it is worth it and that greatly depends on what card you have now ;). If you have something like 970 or weaker then it is probably worth the upgrade to it, if you have something like 980ti then I would see the upgrade to have marginal effect until devs starts employing the options of these new cards for VR rendering which will take some time or it might also turn to never like it happened with their AA options which are not supported by many games :(, so it all depends..

I currently have a 960. So it's safe to say that it's worth it. :)

Short answer is yes, but spend a few extra bucks and get a 1080. Better components and slightly better performance.

I would love a 1080, but I already need to spend those "few extra bucks" on a new monitor, case, PSU, and CPU cooler.

To be honest, VR is still on the back-burner for me. If I can do it, I probably will, but first in my list is the raw upgrade that you get from 960 to 1070.

Yeah a 1070 will give you a good VR experience.

I was running a 970 with my CV1 and it was solid.

Got a 1080 now and it enables me to supersample, 1070 should give a decent supersample ratio as well.

Well that's alright then. Means I'll be able to consider it. :)

Cheers.

Lol, few extra bucks! Even at msrp it's £200 more (uk) but looking on amazon they're selling 1080s for upwards of £2200!!

The 1070 is fantastic value, even the overpriced reference edition. £370-400 for 980ti performance, yes please :) don't get me wrong the 1080 is an awesome card, but massively overpriced right now.
