Would like some questions answered!

I bought the PB today and have no clue on what I'm doing in multiplayer!

A few questions: How do I cash in on bounties / find out who has a bounty
How do I 'disengage' from a hyperspace travel thingy when I arrive.
Are there contracts and if so, how do I get them?
Different ways to earn credits (just a list please. If you want to go the extra mile, explain how I do them!)
Is there a way to meet up with friends?
Any other handy dandy tips for a noob?

Thanks in advanced,

A few questions: How do I cash in on bounties / find out who has a bounty

On the left panel if you target a ship it will scan it and say if 'clean' if no bounty. The one bug if the ship demands your cargo they will show clean till they fire and actually hit your ship then they become 'wanted'. If you destroy them you get the bounty automatically and will show in the right hand comm panel.

How do I 'disengage' from a hyperspace travel thingy when I arrive.

The default was C in alpha. Go to the options menu for controls and you will find it listed along with everything else. You can map it to anything you would like.

Are there contracts and if so, how do I get them?

There are points of interest, planets and space stations. In the right hand menu select what you want and click on it to lock it in. The head for it.

Different ways to earn credits (just a list please. If you want to go the extra mile, explain how I do them!)

Go to a space station, you start with 1000 credits. Buy items and go to another station and sell them. An example buy fish at I Bootis (Chango Dock) and see sell them at Eranis (Azeban City). Buy Cotton there and sell it at I Bootis. That is a trade run. You get the idea, buy low, sell high.

Is there a way to meet up with friends?

A friends list will be introduced later in Beta, currently unless you know someone and talk to them then no. Some use teamspeak but that is your call. I won't use that.

Any other handy dandy tips for a noob?

Just remember it is a beta, the game will freeze, it will crash to desktop. You may lose everything you earned to a bug at anytime. You may have a hard time learning to land (I did). You may have few issues if lucky. The main thing is to report any and all bugs and issues you find to make the game better, and have some fun doing it.

The "right hand" panel is referenced several times in the reply to OP. Should it be "left hand" panel, or did I misunderstand what I've seen in videos so far? (I'm at work at the moment and can't check :(
