As others have said what constitutes a "continent" is completely arbitrary. "Oceania" isn't a continent anyway, it's a geographic descriptor of a whole varied region of the world. A continent in terms of "Europe", "Asia", and "Africa" is a geographic landmass. Of course, I decide to follow more modern approaches to it - Eurasia is a single continent, North and South America are separate, Africa is its own continent, Australia is its own, and New Zealand exists as part of a continent that is mostly underwater (and so does the Pacific).
Anyway, my overall point is that if you want to use "Oceania" as a broad theme for a DLC then that's fine, but there's no use in calling it a continent. "Aquatic" isn't a continent either, after all.
