Really failing to see how they don't match up to competitors seeing as similar mice from something like Logitech are in roughly same price bracket. Sensors Razer use are factually at the top of the game, and materials are quite lovely.

The mouse I tried was a razer lancehead, it cost around £70 at the time, the plastic felt cheap and seemed to pick up skin oil marks really easily and was just too light for my preference, felt kinda hollow.
By comparison, the g502 hero from logitech felt much heavier (with the option to add/remove weights to your preference) and had generally better quality plastics, and was only £30.
Both had 16000 dpi sensors, nice braided cables and rgb accents, it just came down to cost and feel.
Granted it's only a sample size of one, but that one negative experience was enough to push me to other manufacturers.

Also, it's strange to hear complaints about materials. I've not seen a Logitech mouse to have anything near as nice to the touch as what Razer use for their mice.

That's fair enough, each to their own, but having owned both (and still owning both) i can categorically say razor uses inferior materials (at least in the model I own).
I get that you like them, but just accept the fact that not everyone's experiences may match up to your own.

In other news, Razer has just announced its first monitor.
Not interested myself*, but the RGB on it takes the craze to a whole new level.

I have a fancy toaster, and it's terrible. You have to crank it up for the fist 2 slices, and after the first slices are done, it burns everything afterwards, no matter the setting.
I mean, how do you screw up a toaster?
A $20 black and decker is better.

I own both a razor and Logitech. The Logitech feels better built. Razor feels like cheap plastic.
Life would be hard without my Razer Tartarus keypad.

Well, today one of more unlikely purchases came into the spotlight.
Just over a year ago I found a Razer Sabertooth Xbox 360 gamepad. Mostly just got it for my collection of gamepads of various eras.
Well I thought today, how it might work with Elder Scrolls Online. Plugged it in, loaded up the game...
The thing is brilliant! Really suited to that particular game.

Almost certainly. The game played very well on Xbox One. (controls and mechanics that is, performance was shot)
Having six remappable buttons on my Sabertooth means that, with the correct bindings, my thumbs never have to leave the sticks during combat. I don't think I need to tell you how advantageous that is.
I migrated from being a fan razor products to absolutely hating them. 3 out of 4 razor headsets have failed to faulty/ bad wiring. Some LED lights on the keyboard went out 4 months after purchase. The mouse is the only product I have had no issue with. By far the most infuriating issue is their terrible software. Razer synapse worked like a dream when I first got it. A year later an update broke everything. The background process running it would constantly crash forcing me to close all related processes and reboot the program to get sound back. The program would forget my login credentials every time I rebooted the computer. The program would sometimes lag out and crash while trying to change setting.
I was bizarre and I thought maybe it just didnt like windows 7. Nope different computer win 10 same issues

No, for the same reason I wouldn't buy a Razer bumper sticker.
Don't need the Razor part, but my toaster also cooks eggs and bacon.
