Would you want to see JWE2 get long-term support like Planet Zoo.

Thank you so much Frontier for making such an amazing game and I hope that Frontier is able to weather the storm. I wish all the staff laid-off or remaining all the best. Thank you again for your amazing dedication to your games.

Would you want to see JWE2 get long-term support like Planet Zoo. After hearing that, Frontier is planning to focus on Creative Management Simulation games. I have great hopes for the game getting support until Financial Year 2027.

Here is a comprehensive list of DLC's I'd love to see based on correspondence and feedback with several Youtube content creators and the general consensus of feedback on this forum. Personally, i this would make JWE2 the ultimate prehistoric park simulation game ever!

Would you like to see these DLC'S in jwe2. I'd love to hear your feedback. I'll make a separate thread regarding new features , animations and other stuff.

Another 3-5 years is certainly optimistic. I definitely don't share that optimism.

With three consecutive years of new CMS games, after having scaled down their workforce, I'd say it indicates that support is intended to end by the third, if not earlier, for both JWE2 and Planet Zoo (just because they need to move people to work on the new stuff), with a good chance of a Planet Zoo 2 amongst those three games (A JWE3 would probably be profitable without a movie, but the remaining potential features aren't huge selling points to general customers).

I'm not really that interested in the future anymore, without much potential for the maps, different gameplay, or building sets that Expansions bring, but I'd recommend avoiding investment in getting more than a single year at any point.

If JWE2 only has 1 more year of development. I these are the packs I want to see the most. What do you think, would you like to see these DLC'S in jwe2? I look forward to everyones feedback

Note: I removed the Liliensternus from the Triassic DLC's roster because we already have two carnivorous dinosaurs from the Triassic Period in JWE2's roster. Coelophysis and Herrerasaurus. Besides i think it would be a more accurate representation of the Triassic Period to include the Non-Dinosaurian animals that lived alongside the first dinosaurs. Would you like this to happen. Which would you like to see more Austriadactylus or Chasmatosuchus?

I would love long term support for the game. Atleast until 2025, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Jurassic World. I hope the game is supported for a very long time. Even with its shortcomings, or better yet missed potential to go farther as a game, I really enjoy the game. I'm hoping as much content comes as possible.

While I would like for the game to get continuous support, the main reason I want that is to expand and improve on mechanics and features already present in the game. I don't really want (or need) any more dinosaur packs since they don't fix the issues that are currently hindering the game.

I do expect support to last until the end of 2024 and maybe into 2025 but up to 2026? Yeah, I seriously doubt it.

Nice Species that you choose ;) !
I really hope JWE gets much longer support than JWE I because i really doubt that a JWE III will come in the next 3 years .
JWE II has its flaws, but it got very good udates and there is still lots of potential for good updates that can be done with relative small amount of work .

Absolutely would love long-term support for this game especially since this game feels still incomplete without adding more decorations and more buildings from the InGen Company faction. Yes we have the Jurassic Park buildings but we don't have the Lost World buildings which is why I think that InGen Corporation set buildings should be considered as well. So yeah long-term support would be a good idea like Planet zoo.

inGen Corporation Set of Buildings and Vehicles Would be great !
We have still allmost no buildings/ cars etc. from Lost world and Lost Kingdoom !
Worker village , tunnels, artificial Waterfalls, trucks, quads Mobile Lap etc..... there would be soo much more to biuld nice side B parks f.e. ;)!

JWE2 NEEDS a sequel. The biggest problem with JWE2 is the park management system, limited terrain tools along with the repetitive quest system and the simple, reused dinosaur mechanics. Just eternally updating with species packs gets too repetitive and boring. JWE3 is necessary and needs to bring deeper mechanics such as breeding/babies, variety of hunting plots and fights. In JWE2 the fights are pure scripting and not at all dynamic. What limits JWE2 for sure is the porting to old platforms. JWE3 needs to come only to the new gen platforms to handle heavier and more complex mechanics and also for higher performance. Another thing...Frontier is a GAME COMPANY, that is, it needs to sell and innovate by releasing a new games with new features and innovative mechanics.

If your problem is the price, sell your old device and use the money to buy one from the current gen device. Games get old, that's inevitable, the market tends to always sell new products and innovate in some aspect. And more...you can only gain by buying a more powerful platform. Eternally updating JWE2 with more species is not the right way to go

You can also save a few weeks or months working until you can buy a PS5 (example-here with me it was like this). It's obvious that for a high price of the game, it has to be a game with a lot more features/mechanics than JWE2. If they don't deliver much, then yes you'll be wrong, but it's okay to pay more for something better and more powerful if were the case (especially if it's related to something you love, like dinosaurs).

If there is a sequel to Jurassic World: Evolution 2; I personally doubt the dinosaur cohabitation element in the sequel will be better than it and Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.

No one wrote that Eternally Updating JWE 2 with more species is the right way to go ;) !

.......But many nice Decos, Buildings, Attractions are possible with the existing gamemachinics.
  • A Boat Tour like " JW the Ride" would be no problem to do .
  • A 2 seater Submarine for the Rangers or guest ( Drivable in FPV) based on the gamemechanics of the EXISTING ROV would be no Problem.
  • hight adustable pillars for the Monorail woudl be no problem to do .
  • Some Kelp and really high rocks for Lagoon and aviary are no problem for the gamemechanics etc.
  • Vehilcles and smal buildings as placeable objects from the movies could easily be done, if there´s enough interest.
  • Caplecar could be based on the Gamemechinics of the zip line ;).
  • bridges and natural looking fountains ( Waterfalls/rapids) would work without any new gamemechanic.
......
There are lots of possible ways to update JWE 2 NOT ONLY with just a few new species!

ps. The Lagoon platfrom brought nice options for some new animals like Sarcosuchus, Deinosuchus, Hesperornis and Tanystropheus that would bring really nice new animations in the game.

Are you sure? That's what I see most people asking for, more and more species. We already have more than 100 species, what the game needs most now are new mechanics and balance in the fighting and hunting system.

These would be a nice addition, but I know you get what I mean. It's obvious that new decorations would be a nice addition, but honestly I still think new mechanics should be the focus

The Existing mechanics are more restrictive than that of Planet zoo..... YES .
  • But lots od "usefull Glitches" show that even the existing mechanics would for example allow to make our monorail drive on the ground, in water like a boat on rails and even let them dive in to lagoons.... drive like submarine and on another end of the lagoon back over the watersurface again.
  • Our Rangerhelis have even a FPV for the cinemode now ! ..... it would be no big thing for a good gamedesigner/programmer to give us this POV for our helis that we fly manually.
  • Pterosaurs can even attack and kill the shooters of our helis. It would without doubt be possible that big carnevors like Trex could get an animation to catch and devor the shooters of our rangerjeeps.
  • Sauropods like Brachiosaurs could get animations to fight back Carnivors by lifting their frontal body and stomping down like the Brachiosaurs did in JP eating from a tree .
  • we have 3 normal Fountains and even one for the lagoons,.... just to have natural looking "waterfall" versions would help to make the "rivers" much more natural .
  • FPV mode should get an "Avatar" like a scientist or ranger as 3.person skin. that way creatures could interact with us like with the guests ;) ....lol.
  • a Fishfeeder that just show some rocks or a "rapid" instead of the "square metalframe" would be a minimal work for some new "Skin".
  • We have beautifull natural" rocky lagoonwalls" in the Malta DLC without fences above the water . If we could built some parts of bigger lagoons with this walls, we could make lagoons that are combined with normal enclosoures or beaches like the Move JW lagoon.

Don´t get me wrong, I would be happy about a JWE III with even better mechanics etc. in 2-3 Years,.... but right now lots of new Attractions and Features are possible to become reality in our JWE II if Frontier uses all possibilities of the existing mechanics.
