Horizons WTB SRV durability upgrade!

I say this mostly in jest, but not entirely so.

Driving the SRV on a low gravity world can be incredibly fun. But only if you want to wreck your SRV. Because driving it the fun way? Will wreck your SRV.

I'm not saying I hate it the way it is... just... man, just tearing across the landscape is fun, and it'd be nice if the SRV were tough enough to take it as long as you didn't get completely out of shape.

That said, the fact that I'm posting this is a testament to how much fun the thing is to drive, because if it wasn't I wouldn't care. You did well, FD. Definitely exceeded my expectations there.

That's the thing though, you're on a low gravity world. I went driving on a higher gravity world and the thing just kept going and the only time it took damage was when I suddenly went airborne over what felt like flat terrain but was the edge of a pretty high hill.

So maybe try higher gravity worlds, could help.

Oh, I know that. But the jumping is part of the fun.

Truthfully, it doesn't really NEED a durability buff. It's just so fun to drive the thing with the pedal to the metal that I wish it could take a little bit more of that treatment.

What I'd really like is for the minimum threshold impact that causes damage to be bumped up just a little bit. So doing anything really stupid or crazy would still damage you, but you could bounce around a bit in hilly terrain and low-G without it affecting you.

One thing I did realize after spending most of the evening tonight driving it around is that it's more about how you land than how hard you land... up to a point.
