Pre 3.3 this particular foible of SRV piloting was a minor annoyance as the vast majority of things you wanted to shoot were larger than the size of a human head.
Now however...
Geosite harvesting is already difficult enough as the vast majority of interesting sites are at the bottom of canyons in horrible rock formations that require the mountaineering skills of a mutant sherpa goat/kangeroo without having blasters that always miss low from the cockpit view. Its not even a random miss:
Cockpit view every single time: low miss from any distance
Switch to turret: dead on from any distance
Thats a programmed in failing.
Just to be clear: I love the mountaineering. Its challenging and fun. Spending 30 minutes boost jumping to get that last Needle Crystal is addictive. However, after spending all that time and effort to get to the Crystal only for my blasters to pew ineffectively off target because of a PROGRAMMED AIM OFFSET is annoying as all get out.
Please, for the love of gravy, fix this asap.
FYI:
Anyone wishing to debate this: go visit LHS 417 4 A, visit any geosite at random (bar the 1-2 that are not too bad). I defy you not to come away swearing at the cockpit auto-miss system.
