X-55 Rhino spring

Hey,

I am getting an x-55 Rhino, and was wondering if other x-55 users could share with me which spring they are using?

Hi

I have the X55 Pro Flight Rhino which came with the green spring fitted. Works fine with me. I have set it up so I don't need to touch the keyboard at all. Did all configs through options.

I'm using the yellow one. I tried the red one but it wasn't strong enough to centre properly. I found the others just a bit too stiff and the joystick would slide around my desk!

When I started playing Elite in my Eagle, I used the red one (softest), and I loved it. Then I got Type-7 and I had to change the spring to yellow it just felt more appropriate for a heavier ship. I tried to change back again, but that didn't feel right. I love how FD made it that you can feel the sheer wieght and size of ships in game, and changing sprig just feels natural. When I get type-9 I think I will change to green one:)

I use the blue one, because it feels as stiff as the handle twist (z-axis). If I didn't use the twist, I might use a softer spring. Although even now the stick doesn't move on my smooth and polished wooden desk.

Green one. It was the stock spring and i haven't felt the need to change it; feels just right.


I absolutely adore my X55 btw, extremely well made.
