X:Rebirth - VR - worth a look?

Bought it when it came out for vr and it has some positive stuff, like the universe felt more alive than in ED and you can have npc crew and fleet. You can also set up the hotas controls to be the exact same as is in ED so flying the ship was very easy. The space legs isn't great, it´s just for "docking" in empty stations and have no gameplay attached to it. It might be worth a look, but to me it feels a lot more shallow and is not on the same level as elite, I got bored by it after around 5 hours and then went back to this game;)

Are the Graphics better in this than ED?

Might give it a go if still on sale, but oh that learning curve again!!

I played X2 and X3 for hundreds of hours. Both are exceptional good games, but graphics was never their strength. The medium graphics continue through in X Rebirth and seems to be in X4 as well. I really hope for VR support and back to the roots gameplay in X4. If that is the case, i will definitely buy it. X Rebirth though... nah.

I noticed this in the Oculus Spotlight too. The reviews are pretty mixed. Sounds like you need a pretty high power system to avoid a lot of frustration. (isnt it always)

I'm tempted, but will probably wait to see how it develops.

I'm contemplating it, for fifteen quid it might be worth a go, but on the other hand do I really need another mixed review space sim shaped time sink?

still weird how they just pump out all these features so quickly.
