Hi all,
This is the first time I have tried eliciting help from the forum, so forgive the noob.
I just got a new Logitech X52 Pro HOTAS. Been using the Thrustmaster X for a long time but the
internals are wearing out.
Hooked up the X52, mapped out the buttons in ED. Started just using the Windows game controller properties
to look at and set the deadzones, then loaded the Logitech X52 Pro programming software but it is a pain.
All because the throttle sweep in ED now goes from 0 to 100% with only a small movement of the X52 throttle handle.
Its impossible to fly because there is no range of the throttle, it just blasts from 0 to max.
I have adjusted the deadzones ad infinitum in the Windows game controller properties, tried several ways of
programming functions on the Logitech software, but nothing changes.
In ED its set to Forward Only, continous. The throttle axis registers when I assign it, but in the ship I dont have the wide
throttle range I had with the old Thrustmaster (i.e. like any normal throttle range).
Am I missing something? I cant find anyone else that has mentioned this problem. Is it a bad potientiometer right out of
the box?
Thanks for any help,
Greg
