X52 Pro throttle sweep issue

Hi all,
This is the first time I have tried eliciting help from the forum, so forgive the noob.
I just got a new Logitech X52 Pro HOTAS. Been using the Thrustmaster X for a long time but the
internals are wearing out.
Hooked up the X52, mapped out the buttons in ED. Started just using the Windows game controller properties
to look at and set the deadzones, then loaded the Logitech X52 Pro programming software but it is a pain.
All because the throttle sweep in ED now goes from 0 to 100% with only a small movement of the X52 throttle handle.
Its impossible to fly because there is no range of the throttle, it just blasts from 0 to max.

I have adjusted the deadzones ad infinitum in the Windows game controller properties, tried several ways of
programming functions on the Logitech software, but nothing changes.
In ED its set to Forward Only, continous. The throttle axis registers when I assign it, but in the ship I dont have the wide
throttle range I had with the old Thrustmaster (i.e. like any normal throttle range).

Am I missing something? I cant find anyone else that has mentioned this problem. Is it a bad potientiometer right out of
the box?

Thanks for any help,
Greg

i have an x52 pro the throttling works okay on mine. And are you throttling all he way up and down to the end if seem that fdev have zero throttle in the middle of the stick so you can reverse

UPDATE:
Pulled an all nighter on this one searching the web for similar issues. Heres what I found and tried and it worked.

This link has info on how to totally wipe all data, drivers, modify the regedit, ect to remove the joystick from my system.
I followed the instructions to a T. I went through the task manager, control manager, and everywhere I could find Saitek or Logitech software and uninstalled/deleted it.
Went to Logitech's website and downloaded the most recent version of 64 bit software and devices. Loaded the software,
connected the joystick when the software told me to, and restarted the computer. BTW it took a long time of doing nothing when the joystick install
program was running, but I stayed patient and it finished.
I did not go into the Logitech programming portion, just launched ED and tried it and . . .
It worked!.
I would recommend doing this for any problems with this joystick and ED. Prob even work with FlightSim too.
Sure wish Logitech would sic some software dev people to fix this issue, its been around for a long time.

Thanks ya'll for getting back to me. I hope this gets posted around because it is still a obviously a prob.
Appreciate ya!

np, i think the only problem i ever had was using the profiler, has the finger mouse kept moving by itself.so it became unplay in game.in the end i had to disabled the finger mouse x,y axis in profiler

glad you sort it.

the finger mouse is borked on mine as well. I disable it. And that's in linux, so it has nothing to do with driver software (since i'm using totally different stuff than windows does) and it's definitely some annoying hardware issue.

some other issues the x52 is known to have that you should be aware of are related to power draw requirements thru usb. You will get ghost button presses and other glitchy (unable to hold button presses etc) behavior if you are plugged into a port that can't provide all the power the x52 needs.

a powered usb hub that can put out much more than min-spec 500ma should be used with the joystick if possible...otherwise plug it into a supercharge port if your motherboard has them to avoid those kinds of glitches. It's incredibly annoying trying to KWS ships only to have the joystick glitch your button press 90% of the way done ...forcing you to start over, repeatedly.

Gotcha!
Yeah, I havent seen any ghost button issues, but I did get a better powered USB hub with switched ports so I can turn off all the other things
while I play.
