I got my X52 Pro stick a few weeks back, and I've been having a ball with it. Yes, really pleased, but I did feel the joystick was a bit floppy. I know there are vids of mods showing how to reposition the magnets, but I didn't really want to start making drastic alterations to a brand new stick. However, I did notice there was another mod that involved slipping a home-made disk made from an old CD stack container lid.
To cut a long story short I have made a more simple replacement, which is basically a 1mm steel washer with a u-shape cut into it to allow it to slip onto the shaft easily. The beauty of this is that it's easy to slip onto the stick shaft once the springs are compressed a little, and another can be added if necessary. I've been using it for a week now and it's really improved the stick's performance. I'm still experimenting with one or two, and probably will end up with two. As far as I'm aware it's not interfering with any warranty and it takes less than a minute to apply or remove.
I'm sure there are many that could make their own, but I have a few spare, so if anyone's interested I'll be happy to stick a couple in the post for you to try.
