xbox controller on pc

Can anyone help? I'm using a xbox controller on pc. The only way i can get the controller to work is if i set it to default context. Which is fine if i only want to play elite without voice packs. As soon as i edit the bindings ,so that i don't have any unassigned keys, i lose the most controller functions. I.e hold B and up or down on dpad for cargo scoop or landing gear etc.

I know you'll think i'm mad for using an xbox controller on pc but i have an xbox version and now a pc version so makes it easier to swap between.


EDIT: think i sorted it. Deleted the already made custom3.0.binds from folder and recreated.....

Buy yourself the XB1 Chatpad attachment! Then you can bind ALL the PC Keyboard commands to your controller.

I use it with my XB1 Elite Controller. I liked the combo so much, I stopped using my X52 for playing ED. The Elite with the Chatpad is far more efficient and fast. Especially for combat.
