Xbox One - Connectivity known issues

I want to play too, I would love to enjoy the paints that I paid for already, but I'm patient and could give them the time to fix it right. They already said it caught them by surprise and I know when I'm not ready for a problem it takes me a bit longer to figure it out. They will get to it.

True enough. Just wanted to come back to it escape the divisions wacky ass game. But yes I would wait for ed anytime. Just needed some coffee lol
 
Hi, I've been having this issue from the night that the patch hit. I've been keeping an eye on threads here silently just in the hope that a fix pops up and I can play.

The reason I'm posting is because my experience seems to have been different from what I'm seeing everywhere else. I *was* able to log in post-patch! I was outside of the bubble, flew back to play with the new things and chat with other CMDRs in party chat, like the good old days. All the talk of skins and the like got me super giddy and so I rushed and bought £10 worth of points... "Sweet, my ships are gonna look great", I thought to myself. But, when I went to the store my balance was a nice round zero. Hmm... Maybe it just needs a restart.

It was that point that I got the sign in error. I don't know if this is helpful or not, it's more of a rant than anything else just to get the 3 day frustration off my brain, lol. I know that people are working their nuts off to fix this and frankly, I'm just bored of seeing people complaining. Yes, I do definitely fall into the category of " lots of games/DLC"... Last time I looked, I have 110 games installed. Good enough reason to get back to some of them ;)

Anyway, that's all I have to say. Hope it's helpful to someone.
 
I think i may know whats going on here. You guys remember those galnet reports about suspicious ships seen flying around a few of the stations a few months back? Id bet my left plasma accelerator that one of those ships infiltrated FDs H.Q. and planted a unknown artifact in there somwhere! All we need is a few tonnes of Meta Alloys and presto, problem solved!

I completely understand the anger and frustration of those not able to play the game they've bought at the moment. Eventhough I don't experience the issue I'm kinda upset myself because it harms FD, the game and its player base. However, I'm sure FD are doing everything they can to rectify the problem because it hurts them the most after all. Software problems are sometimes incredibly difficult to track down and fix, and to make sure the fix doesn't introduce new unforseen problems is a pain in the . I think FD would love to post a thread saying "We've got it, problem is fixed, now go play!". But in the meantime there's not much they can do to help us and all we can do unfortunately is wait. Them posting "We're working on it" every hour or so wouldn't really help, would it?
I honestly wouldn't mind too much because I have plenty of other games to play, but I bought the game Friday, spent all weekend on it and convinced my friends to get it Sunday and Monday. Spent 8 hours with them trying to figure out how Pilot Wings work and escorting them/refueling them with my cobra 15 jumps from starting location.
The patch roles out and I cant play. They both can, they home share. And my homeshare is now playing with them. They are about 20 hours of play time ahead of me now and we were supposed to all play together.
I work in IT and I've tested this every way i know possible.
Refunded and repurchased
Removed home sharing, reinstalled
Remove alternate profile on my xbox that could play the game, reinstalled
unlinked account, reinstalled
changed my microsoft email to the email used by frontier, reinstalled

nothing is working and it honestly doesn't make since. I feel like if i could re-buy again without a seperate account on my xbox, because thats clearly where the license went, it would work.
All i can do now is play arena.
 
The plus side to having so many players having this down time is that the markets have time to restock lol.

The markets are a part of the shared galaxy so any stockouts are likely created by PC players who are NOT having these problems.

If anything, they're able to plunder the markets MORE withOUT us being able to log in.

I wonder how many pots of coffee the dev teams have consumed by now? They could make this the next CG! Deliver 100,000 tonnes of coffee to Bug Terminal ;)

I'm English so only drink Tea.... although it feels like I've had more than 1,000 Tonnes over the last few days. As Zac has posted, we have a fix and everyone involved is working to get it released as quickly as possible - when we have a release date/time we will let everyone know.

Quite right, Tea is the only drink a true Gentleman would consider.
