Xbox One Controller with Chatpad on Windows 10 on PC.

I've been playing ED for a few months now using a keyboard and trackball. But I've previously used my Xbox controller whilst playing (Fifa) on the PC by plugging it into the PC USB socket.

I recently saw something called a Chatpad attached to a Xbox One controller. I know the purpose of these is for chatting (hence the name) but can the buttons on the Chatpad be binded to the game for easy access to game controls?

I've seen a couple of reviews of the chatpad and that say they are compatible with Windows 10 but never speak about using it "as a keyboard" within a game like ED. Need to read it from makers. I'd hope someone here would just say "yeah, we all use it"

Chatted with Xbox directly (see pic). Maybe one of two official places who may know the answer. Based on this I think the answer is no.

Maybe with a third party software update to the chatpad it might work but it would need a lot of people offering to buy an special Elite Dangerous edition chatpad to get anyone interested if it's even possible.
