Flippin ugly if you ask me but its looking fairly feature rich.
the only disappointment so far is that the control isn't fine grained enough yet so you have to use your phone for the side panel navigation in snap mode.
plus it's going to be hard to turn the thing off as the name is so close to the on command - every mate that comes round 'you have and xbox one' (xbox switches on)

watching the live show as I type. I really don't like how they are throwing the word "CLOUD" around as if its something we all want.
The presentation is slick and I will admit that it appears that the XBOX ONE is more than a Console, but the more they tell me about Community and Social functions the less I like the idea of it, I think my problem is that im of a generation of gamers that grew up owning the software, not worrying about DRM. Kids today wont really know the real social element of gaming, ie going around your friends house to play Street Fighter on his SNES.

trying to figure out if they now have Call of Duty as a Exclusive franchise.
Avery slick presentation and I imagine that Sony need to have some special announcement's at E3, If Sony can sell their console at a cheaper price like £149 and only ask for a two year subscription contract they may still have a good chance,
myself wont be jumping on the next gen console bandwagon straight away as I hope that Elite Dangerous will be occupying my time.

Looks like a beta max video player to me. Very ugly beast. That said at least they have shown something and given some details unlike the Playstation launch which was basically full of fluff

Its about time consoles had the ability to have lots of players in a game, I think (could be wrong) the limit is what 32 players in one match-made game?
I like the idea of Destiny, although it's been announced for PS3/PS4/XBox 360 already (not sure about X1)... an FPS in a persistent universe with RPG elements

I think it's more the lack of interest in showing games. It's the games that sell the consoles, and there's not much of a market for this unified TV unit nonsense. The only games they showed (after over half an hour of talking about Innovation) were iterative sports games.
Amazing. I was thinking the presentation looked smooth and glitch-free. Little did I realise they were voodooing the glitch out over the interwaves and into people's homes.
The whole idea of talking to devices makes me shudder actually. I'd just feel so self-conscious every time I issued a command. I'd at least feel I should be polite about it. 'Xbox, can I watch the Formula One please?'. 'Xbox, would you mind loading up Destiny for me?' Otherwise it sounds like a spoilt child talking to their parents.
From what I have heard.. cant really confirm......but the games may be linked to the specific console only.....So if it dies you lose the lot ?

This won't necessarily mean losing all your games in x years time - the servers will be automated and be low maintenance. Look at Guild Wars 1, which is still running, but now with entirely automated servers. Also hackers will find a way to subvert it somehow, I'm sure...

For me console gaming will be over.....You no longer have a game you can keep....Its time people said no !!!
We want to buy a disc and play the game whenever and wherever we want...
And play online when we want to ...this is all getting stupid and out of hand....soon you wont be able to take a crap without logging on and paying a flush fee !!
