Xbox throttle control?

For those of you playing with an xbox controller: How do you control your throttle when dog fighting?

LB & RB?

Voice Attack?

Other?

I use VA, EDtracker, & xbox 360 controller. When I'm in a dog fight & looking up as I circle my target, I can't tell if I'm in the 'blue' (aka optimal turning speed) or not, thus I have a hard time getting behind my target.... Suggestions?

Left and right shoulder buttons .... Works for me

Make one of the buttons Throttle 50%. When you hit it, you are in the blue. EDIT to add> I hardly use the throttle on my joystick. I use assigned buttons for 0%, 50% (in the blue for normal flying, combat), 75% (in the blue for SC), and 100%

That's a good idea. I've been toying with the idea of using VA for throttle, but I'm not sure I want to be blathering that much, & there is delay...

I think they are currently set at %10 increments, 25% makes more sense. Thanks +rep

L & R triggers in 25% increments.

Bumpers are my weapons.

Spend $50 on a Thrustmaster T.Flight.HOTAS X.

You'll never go back to a console controller for ED again.

I use L/R triggers for throttle down/up. 0% on button A. VoiceAttack commands for 0,25,50,75,100 % speeds. I also have a ton of voiceattack commands that combine multiple functions.

I'm kind of funky (IMO) in my use of the thumbsticks; Left stick is yaw+pitch, right stick is roll+pitch.

Dpad for up/down/left/right thrusters.

L/R bumpers are fire groups 1+2, and in dock mode are overridden to back/forward thrusters.

X for SC/Hyperjump, Y for target ahead, B for next target.

I hardly touch the KB+Mouse anymore, only to type system names in the Gmap - and I've even gone so far as to have Voiceattack open the gmap, click the text field and type a predetermined system name for me.

LB to decrease, RB to increase, with 25% increments works fine.

I also bound "Back" to 0%, for emergencies
