Sometimes he goes a bit overboard for me but this video I watched all the way thru and agreed with 100%.

The FPS didn't copy from the masters and just reused ship combat but worse, an entire galaxy to walk and float in and firefights are in tiny settlements and the real gameplay is grinding for suit & gun upgrades...

I'm elated that such a person is back telling me whether I like this or not, as I've been struggling to cope with the suspense of having to make a decision for myself.

I've never understood people who complain that game x isn't like game y. If it was then it would be game y. We should be happy for some diversity

And it's true, it does! There aren't that many variable gravity stealth platformers on the market after all.

I mean sure you can grind all your gear to g5 and go mow down helpless NPCs all CoD style if you want. Personally I think that's about as much fun as the "invincible murderboats vs paper NPCs" version in space.

Hard to argue with OP. The video is definitely about 40 minutes long. It would definitely take some time to watch if I were so inclined.

I do find it funny how he does the PS2 comparisons because PS2 is a constant grind for weapons and utilities and it absolutely conveys advantage.

Sorry, I have to agree with him. The shooter side of this DLC and the grind are just bad. A little better with some friends if you don't run into a bunch of instancing and other networks issues.

I don't know what the grand vision for this update was but with a huge galaxy out there, we got this.

Yamiks tends to make outrage content and makes quite a few false assertions just to cater to rage.
Like the "grind", for example.

In the screenshot above I have a mission for ten (10) power regulators. Took less then ten minutes to complete.
You can get missions for ten Manufacturing Instructions as well; and that's a lot smarter and faster then what Yamiks suggest is typical gameplay.
