Guide / Tutorial Yokai's guide to Trade Computer Extension (TCE) by Eventure

Really like the look of TCE so before I did anything I read your guide and came across a problem
I cannot find elitedangerous32.exe. using windows explorer search. I selected show hidden files.
I know it must be there but where?

Steam user: in your steam installation folder > Steamapps > Common > Elite Dangerous > Products > FORC-FDEV > EliteDangerous32.exe

Well, it should still be in your installation folder path i'd guess, or in your Users > xxxx > my documents > Elite (or my games - Elite).

Btw, i do not see it in search either, BUT i see my screenshots and they're in same path as Elitedangerous32.exe..maybe that can help :)

I cannot get the TCE setup to find the path to AppConfig folder because I do not have one.
There is a AppConfig.xml document in the FORC-FDEV-D-1003 folder
Should I make a Appconfig folder in FORC-FDEV-D-1003 and put the AppConfig.xml files in it?

For those of you that didnt see a straight forward description of where these file Folders are at here.

NetLog:
\Elite Dangerous\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010\Logs

AppConfig:
\Elite Dangerous\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010

OCR:
Where ever you installed it to
\
You must have show hidden files enabled or it will not take the path.

Can you import someone else's data ? Just started with ED and managed to get TCE working fine with OCR etc, but wondered if other persons data could be used - imported to allow a noob some help on trading.

...I'm sorry. Please give me some elbow room, I'm either confused by this program or its simply not for me.

So to have commodity prices for the stations, I have to literally fly to each one of them, land/dock, scan, and do that over and over again to populate my database? Do they automatically update? Or do I have to rescan them all again for up to date prices?

Aren't there websites that can calculate trade routes automatically? And don't they pull in information from ALL stations automatically? I know the data is only as current as when the last player updated their commodity prices....but the stations are all there right? And its just up to you if you're going to accept 'old' prices...

Again, absolutely NO bashing here. Swear to god. I'm just trying to get my head around this. It just seems like, as a trader, I would want a large database to extract a good trade route, and with this extension add-on I would literally have to visit the...hundreds?thousands?...of stations by hand, manually. If that is the case, I don't mind alt-tabbing out the game and comparing 'older' prices on eddn or thrudds.

Is there a way for this app to connect to those trade websites via some kind of API or something? Again, I'm just trying to learn how this program works exactly. I'm admitting my ignorance. But I'm still madly impressed with the creativity/work of the author. Some people are crazy talented!

Hi Looks like a great App. I have the G13, iPad and iPhone. Managed to load the app and get working in windows and via the Logitech G Key app however no matter what I try I can't get any ATC feed. The Air/Space Traffic chatter was a big draw card for me but all quiet my end.

I can get the twitch feeds and radio etc when I click on them. After that I can't shut them up and turn them off so I'm doing something wrong there. So the App can talk to the outside world.

Does anyone have any suggestions on why the TC isn't working?
Thanks
