Or maybe there was no patch three days ago, and Obsidian Ant is a broader gaming content creator, and MS Flight Simulator 2020 is releasing in a matter of days?
Ant actually mentioned the delay in the comments of his video on the 29th July: "The next patch fix that Frontier mentioned recently now has some patch notes available for it. Unfortunately the update has been delayed until next week due to a few issues."

Obsidian Ant just received a new pre-release build of Flight Simulator 2020, so he's naturally going to cover it.
Meanwhile, Elite's next update hasn't gone live yet - that happens next week on Monday.

Ah....I didn’t realize the patch got “reprioritized”. Silly me thought something was going to get delivered on time.
