I am most pleased at the improved speed and smoothness of the Station Services menu, and the Mission Boards. And always bug fixes are welcome.
I'm not sure what to think of the current situation with shields and armor, as they are a bit different than what was tested in the beta. So I'll need to log some time with these elements to better understand them.
But so far very good, regarding what I have seen.
PLUS: I wasn't aware of the DTS headphone setting, I'll have to experiment with that!

Both the mission board and passenger lounge are now opening in about 2 seconds...wonderful!
FYI It's enabled by default.
Take the best headphones you have
make sure they're in stereo mode with no filters or virtual stuff going on in their panel
Open ED and go to audio tab in the menu screen
check the box for DTS headphones
Enjoy
The first time I used it a salvo of missiles flew over my head in cz and my reaction scared me. I genuinely tilted my head by reflex to avoid the shot. It never happened to me in any game, not even in 5.1 150+ euro headsets.

Some context, that picture is part of a larger picture of about 10 of my school/college friends, all smiling nicely, I was that guy in every photo...
Well it takes some training to become a master of the photo bomb, especially predator face.
What you need to do is wait for the cue, usually it references something completely unrelated to photos, such as "cheese" or "smile". Upon hearing this cue you put your little fingers in each corner of your mouth and pull it as wide as possible. Whilst doing this you close your right eye and raise your left eyebrow.

Bug fixes are always welcome and make the removal of Engineer Commodities permanent please. More time playing and less time fighting arbitrary barriers is always good.

I'm joking of course. I just thought it would be funny to work in my number one favorite thing about this patch; the changes to plasma. And not that it's anything new, but getting popped with Dispersal renders your tracking systems useless, which can be a big problem.
Another thing I'm liking about this patch; my SRV now handles pretty darn good. A night and day difference from before the patch.
Im happy to state that i was wrong over the commodities for engineers debate having railed long and hard against the proposed changes. I assumed it was only a those vocal ones who were into the PVP arms race and were too lazy or lacking in skills to 'do it the hard way'. This poll suggests otherwise. So for the sake of this wonderful game and its community of players, to infinity and beyond commanders!
