Your guesses: Will there be more animal reveals before the beta starts?

After all, we already know that the beta will only feature a (large) fraction of the animals available in the final game.
Furthermore, the animals will be limited in szenarios and the beta will only cover the first one.
Finally, there is still quite a time to bridge between beta and game launch - time that has to be filled with hype and expectation-buildup, while the ammount of revealed animals is quickly approaching the final number.

We didn't learn about any new animal last week - quite to my personal surprise. Will this change the upcomming week?
Maybe all animals appearing in the beta are now announced? Does FDev want to limit possible disappointment due to confirmed animals NOT being playable during the beta and hence postpone further reveals until the beta has started or even ended?

I am not complaining, mind you!
It's just that I want to pass some time in the discussion forum and exchange thoughts on this - in my opinion quite likely - hypothesis.
(A hypothesis that can quite easily be proven wrong by FDev, by the way ... something that qualifies it as scientifically valuable - in contrast to for example the string theory or equally obscure nonsense .... ;) )

I believe the animal count now stands on 44 (47 with the beta animals). So we are getting quite close to our promised number of 50 (yeah I know there should be a plus behind it but that can mean a lot). The developers might be extra more careful when they reveal a new animal as they probably want to make sure it is as good as finished. Especially because expectations might be raised that it will also be added to the beta (which might not be the case). Now I do have a gut feeling we’ll at least get one more animal revealed before or even with he beta release. But nothing to base this feeling off of.

I am also surprised - surprised, not disappointed! - that there were no further announcements. For me, the number of animals in the beta is not really relevant. I will unfortunately have very little time during the two weeks and will therefore concentrate on learning to build. I didn't play Planet Coaster, so I have no idea how intuitive or complicated it will be. In fact, I'm thinking more about future expansions. When - not if ;) - will we get marine animals and so on?

I don't think we'll get animal reveals before the beta releases, but I hope we get a couple new animals confirmed in the beta. Although, I highly doubt the beta will confirm any new animals, as we are drawing close to 50 confirmed species, and I think they'd want to save them for the full release in a few months.

Yea I highly doubt we'll get any reveals before beta as well and they've said somewhere that the beta will contain unannounced animals so there's that but I wonder which animals!? I can't wait for next week!

I just hope they leave a few animals for when the game launches, since its not that fun knowing all the animals that will be in the game.

When we actually start playing the number of animals is going to look too big because we are going to take a lot of time to learn to play with them. It's only because we don't have our hands on the game that we keep asking for more.

I bet my first Zoo is going to have a lion breaking out before I get 2 more animals set up, let alone dozens.

We don't know if we are close to teh final numbre, actually. Frontier keeps saying "many more than fifty". So if we are very lucky, we get an animal revealed every day after beta, but anyway I assume we won't get less than 59 animals. I believe in JWE there were 14 more animals than promised.
I don't think we'll get any new animal reveals before the beta, but a lot after, I guess. The ambassadors seem to hint "something big" in their side notes in videos lately, if I got them right. So MAYBE, just maybe, something else will come our way as well.
