Your Pets

Was cleaning my lizard kindergarten this morning and got to spend a little quality time with Waru. He has gotten really comfortable with me in the short month ive been keeping him and is everything you could want from a monitor, active, inquisitive, a ravenous hunter and bold. His only shortcoming is that he is a picky eater and will only eat locusts. A real stinker since they are a pain to keep, breed and expensive to buy :D.
Hopefully he will get more accepting to crickets and roaches as he grows

1.0 Tonkinese or Siamese/Shorthair Mix Cat
2.0 Black Pomeranian
0.1 Mutt (some Pug and Min Pin in there)

One of our Poms is super old! The most loyal original. Our younger one is our super fast (In his eyes), ball chasing, super cool, kind of grumpy, best friend furever! Our Mutt is crazy rescue.
We have had quite a few Poms... Here's a pic of one of our now in Heaven Poms. Name's Koda <3 Koda was loyal, gentle, loving, and loved food! He got chewies he was so spoiled...

Oh my goodness! Congratulations! Good luck with your new wild friend.
Also, what are you going to name her?
Oh, I didn't realize she's a Shiba Inu. Very cool breed! Still a bit wild lol!
Oh, yes certainly wild, she was the smallest of her litter but she never left her big brothers alone, always chasing and biting them around. Haha. Her name is Shiri and yes, she is a Shiba Inu :)

Eating salad might be a skill that my lizard will never unlock. Stupid bearded dragon only wants insects, carrots and paprika, everything else he just glares at me for like an angry karen
Rest asured that this skink rooted through the salad to just pick out the berrys and mealworms while spitting the greens back out :D.
Although she usually comes back later and eats the rest.

Mine was extremely opposed to salad aswell when i got her. I got her to eat it by using smoothies as sort of a dressing.
Maybe try that :)

I mean depending on how much space you have there are lizards who can hold their own against over curious cats... or eat them :D
Erm.. I don’t know. Nash would probably take down any lizard smaller than him. You should see what he does when he sees a string

Well i was joking ofcourse.
If you dont have the option to place the terrarium in a room away from the cat it really isnt a great idea.
Cant imagine the guy would appreciate a cat bothering him 24/7 :D

sounds like a plan, but mine just kinda rejects everything thats green and only takes the stuff he likes when i hand feed him. lazy man

Yeah. He goes everywhere in my house. And I’m talking everywhere. I think the only safe room would be the bathroom but I’m not putting a terrarium in there 😅

What about those glass covers? Not the mesh ones? I have one for Bruce the Pacman Frog, and it keeps the humidity in, perfect especially now that winter is coming and our house is getting chilly.
Sorry. My question was would that keep out a cat?

Ugh, don't get me started in Bruce. He got sick of the little mealworms, so I went back to crickets. Now he doesn't want crickets, but my mealworms molted into beetles. He still won't eat them, the goober

You should convert a wall into a terrarium. He'll never get in that way🤣

Yeah mine had a similar attitude. I mixed it really nice tho the smoothie covered the smell and taste of the greens.
Also tried the same with prepared diets. Arcadia makes a really great one for omnivorous lizards like beardies, blue tongues and tegus, Maybe try that, so you dont feed to much fruits
