At this point we all see the writing on the wall for PZ and sometimes it seems like it’s scribbled in crayon and others it’s outlined on a chalkboard, but if it was up to you what mural would you create with PZ’s roadmap?

Personally, I hope that our African pack is an 8 animal pack.
Afterwards I hope we get multiple animal packs for the missing animals for every region especially South America and Oceania. I hope we get full brachiation with gibbons. I also hope our Aviary and Aquarium dlcs are huge expansions with a lot of animals and scenery.... that is my Dream for PZ. What’s yours?

Just general biome/theme packs, ditching locales in favor of more interesting ideas. A brachiation and climbing centered pack, perhaps, with a ton more scenery that animals can climb on, and more enrichment based upon that. Maybe even a burrowing pack cough cough that could bring in more burrows and stuff for animals.

Hell, I'm still waiting for a playground pack.

Summer 2021 - Africa
Autumn 2021 - North America
Winter 2021 - Aviary
Spring 2022 - Europe
Summer 2022 - Endangered species
Autumn 2022 - Rainforest

Autumn 2022 - Rainforest
Winter 2022 - Around the world

I like this just add aquarium expansion for me and brachiation somewhere lol

I do a lot of thinking on this actually. There's three different roadmaps for me:

1 -3 packs every roughly 4 months (the second would be July and the third November) 2021: Southeast Asia/Africa/North America; 2022: Jungle-forests/Europe/Avian - a total of 5 packs to come

2- 3 packs every roughly 4 months (again July and November for the 2nd and 3rd) 2021: SEA/Africa/Avian; 2022: North America/Desert/Europe; 2023: Jungle-forests/Avian Pack 2/Community Vote pack - within constraints (no fully marine animals, maybe a few others that would be too much work), they'd take a poll of what the most popular wanted animals would be and make them.- a total of 8 packs to come

3 - my personal favorite even though it's less packs than option 2, it comes faster - 4 packs every roughly 3 months - 2021: SEA/Africa/North America/Avian; 2022: Jungle-forests/Deserts/Europe/Community Vote pack - a total of 7 packs to come.

Hopefully in all these cases the Avian pack would be a little larger - maybe 10-12 animals since birds do not have as much variety of rig shape overall as mammals.

I do not see them doing 3 years of 4 packs a piece though I'd definitely buy 11 more packs! I just think that's probably thinking a little too much of what is to come. At any rate, I think Africa is a "given" and North America is as well even though not quite as much a given. I think Europe and Rainforests/Jungle/Forest theme are very likely as well. I'm really hoping they'll do an avian pack and would be the minimum 5 packs. - if not avian probably a desert pack of some kind.

Well I’d love 2 more yrs support but realistically probably won’t happen. Anyway if the African pack leak is true I’m very happy with pretty much every animal. The African penguin is replaceable to me but it’s not to bad really. I hope realistically for another Africa pack featuring the black rhino plus a few others. A North American pack and a European as well. Maybe another miscellaneous pack would be great. Then I think the ending pack is going to be and has to be aviary content. Then hopefully modders will find a way to implement animations, sounds, and continue to improve which I’m pretty impressed with right now how far they’ve came. I think much like zt2 breakthroughs will continue to happen and keep the game alive for many yrs to come hopefully.

I agree, I just hope we get fully aquatic animals at some point so modders can have better baselines to work from

African Shrub and Savanna animal pack - with 8 animals - introducing blueprints of an African themed zoo made by frontier and best creators for regular users to enjoy

Sahara and Middle East animal pack - with 8 animals - introducing terraformed maps pack as in game blueprints

SOUTH America - with 8 animals introducing brachiation

Endangared species - animal pack with 8 animals and option of buying at least 3 extra deluxe species

Aquatic/Aquarium animal pack - DLC with all missing aquatic mammals and a lot of fish, reptiles and other small aquatic creatures.

Tbh, as I said many times before, if they ever come up with a way to implement aquariums and/or aviaries they should give us for free some species, even not right away would be acceptable, as I imagine that not implementing them in the first place means that it's difficult, so maybe a DLC then a free update would indeed be fair to give them time to create new models/rigs for the animals.

Well, it's quite sad to say that but I am pretty pessimistic about the future of this game. I doubt we would ever see an aviary pack. I think no zoo game ever added that, and there quite a few reasons. It's hard to properly code and animate flying birds at the same time they try to keep performance and good animations. Not to account the player creativity and freedom. It's easy to have a pre-made aviary where the birds just repeat movements boringly. But creativity and freedom on creating habitats is one core aspect of the game, and we surely want that for aviaries. So yeah, I see Frontier not wanting to dwell in that and why.

An marine pack i think it's quite plausible since we have the foundations since Aquatic pack. Sharks, turtles, rays, new exihibt-like aquaries and so on.

Also, I would love if Frontier could get a little creativity going on with themed packs, like endangered animals pack, botanical pack, farm pack

So, keeping it (kind of) realistic, my dream roadmap:

2021

- August: Africa Pack

- December: Sea Pack

2022

- March/April: North America Pack

- August: Primate Pack (please, please, please) or endangered species-like pack, I dunno, "Save From Extinction","Last Chance" you name it

- December: Farm Pack (petting stations, cattle, goat, sheep, chicken, duck, pig etc)

2022 is unfornately the end of support by Frontier I believe, considering Planet Coaster.

I’m pessimistic as well but I sincerely believe we will get aviaries of some shape just because of the sheer amounts of requests. Modders got birds working in Zt2 and flying birds might work similarly to diving just in the air space you give? I just really think it’s happening cause of the requests

End of june/Begin of july - Endangered Animals Animal Pack (7+1 Animals)
End of september/Begin of october - Community Favorits Animal Pack (7+1 Animals, with a Voting)
Middle of decembre - Aquarium Expansion Pack (~20-30 Habitat Fish(...) and ~5-10 Exhibit Fish(...) for 20-35€)

For me, the roadmap of my dreams is first and foremost Africa and North America and Europe. Then have more vivarium animals have 2 or have a single DLC with only vivarium animals. I also want several DLCs with birds that we can easily have without a
aviary . A DLC as with that of Marsupials or
Equidae or Antelopes or Aquatic Pack 2 or primates. Or DLC with only the animals that live in a swamp or a mountain or desert or forest ... The aquarium I would like to have them but it is not really important because in some zoo there are no aquariums.
It would be cool if also for all the months until we wait for another DLC if we could have an animal

I think, ideally, for my tastes, they follow an example set by Paradox Interactive for support. Which is that they pack and mechanic the game until the game engine is about to die.
Of course, make the packs more animal and environmental heavy.
Summer 2021- Rainforest pack- Variety of animals from Temperate and Tropical Rainforests, along with exhibit humidifiers.
Spring 2022- Mechanical Pack 1. Some kind of mechanical pack, introducing aquaria, fossorial, or flying animals.
Fall 2022/Winter 2023- Conservation Pack, with a big focus on Endangered species and more education materials for zoos.
Late spring 2023- An extinct animals pack (Does not have to be Dinosaurs or ice age. Could just be species that were deemed extinct in last 100-120 years). Would be nice for such a pack to have some potential genetic modification potential, which could lead to protestors, yadda, yadda, events.
Fall 2023- Mechanical Pack 2 (See MP1)
Summer 2024- Freaks of Evolution. Animals with some of the most interesting adaptions.
Fall/Winter 2023/24- Biodiversity pack, adding animals from families, orders, clades with little to no representation.
Summer 2024- Mechanical Pack 3.
2025- any packs that might seem needed to fill out the zoo/ final optimization of everything.
2027- PZ 2
