Your pre-3.3 Stats

Hey!

i've done some number crunching..

a few interesting things i can pick out...

  • a minority of people spend an obscene amount of time in a system, that said the average is 5 minutes per system
  • The average profit per system is 1,363 Cr
  • we detail surface scan on average 0.01 bodies per system ;P (some outliers scan a hell of a lot more of course!)
  • we travel 571.76LY per hour

Level 3 scans are bugged the numbers are silly per system

using some Pivot tables and other data magic there are some other interesting patterns in pre 3.3 data

now using my own data of pre and post stats there are some massive changes, but im just one playstyle of many.

so i need your post 3.3 data, i.e updated screenshots to calculate the difference, i dont think we need to wait to make analysis on this data as time played can be a reference point and used to pick out what we're doing in each system.

my stats will be a bit skewed given I did 1400+ jumps to, err, check my bindings. Unless I'm miscalculating, my profit per system is way higher than the average you quote. Guess I eyeballed them TC's pretty good :D

looks like my profit per system went up massively 173k now! But time per system is less. That gels with buckying back after my break to get prep'd for DW2

its all averages though, if someone honked all the way to beagle point it would kill your Cr/system even more so with the FSS as there's nothing to eyeball ;)

Some folk have navigated planets in their SRVs, or equally sat awaiting thargoid flower ships to land for hours on end

i spent 28 days in SC pre 3.3 along with not packing a ADS/DDS so that's had an adverse effect on my time per system & credit per system.

the more i think about it the more meaningless our pre 3.3 stats become as theyre mixed with other gameplay, i.e. time spent unlocking engineers and gathering chemical manipulators, or rolling at the casino ;) to make a like for like comparison we would need 10 hours game play "exploring" data pre & post 3.3 and compare the differences.

but then enjoyment is quite an intangible figure so were up the creek without a paddle anyway :)

Now that a year has passed, it's time to revisit this. To send some notifications, the ones who posted their stats back then were, in chronological order: @Allitnil, @CMDR Eryn Liamson, @Speccy, @Orvidius, @Kris, @Guy De Lombard (seems like the picture is missing though), @Valije, @Pirin, @Arnoldo, @LifesAJourney, @Redfox, @Apsley, @Odengard, @BDelacroix, @13A/24B, @CMDR CHIGGY VONRICTOFEN, @MuteCV, @Chuffa, @Genar-Hofoen, @iain666, @Spaceman Si,@VerticalBlank, @Mengy, @Codger, @Zenith, @Cryopod, @Major Klutz, @khaos526, @osser, @Wargrum, @Dan Bender, @Hanekura Shizuka, @Straha Yeagar, @varonica, @Col Frost, @Zieman, @DerSteve (user is missing?), @Thatchinho, @disorganise, @Steyla, @WR3ND, @SpocksOddSocks, @MattG, @DrewCarnegie, @mpfj.

Here are my updated stats:

So, 8,275 new systems in this past year, down from an average of 14,019 per year. Makes sense, as I'm exploring much less than I used to. I'm not sure how many of those were from DW2. Although my credits earned were modest then and modest now, in one year I still made more than I did in the four years before. Average playing time was also roughly half of what I had before, even with me spending more time playing Elite but not exploring than before.
Speaking of which, I'm still Dangerous in NPC combat rank (just near the top of it), made Elite in trading (with core mining, hardly a feat) and improved my CQC combat rank nicely.

So, if you're still around, what are your stats now?

Still here;

It appears I have added quite a bit to my stats. 12,000 more systems, a real shipload of money, going to have to get a bigger safe in this bucket, of course that doesn't count the in excess of 1b from this current trip, and my highest payout jumped from 3.2m to over 23m, not bad at all.

Oh yes, of course I have passed 1 million light years, it's really easy to forget these little things!

And the spanking new outfit, that's a good look if I don't say so myself!

I'm at work now, but I'll post up my current stats tonight when I get home.

Mine didn't increase much this year as I haven't been playing much Elite since the summer. I'm still siting out somewhere near Sag A from when I was halfway along on DWE2.

I've hardly been playing this year. Recently returned to the Bubble from Colonia - set off a couple of days ago and arrived last night in Quince, because you can't purchase an Imperial Clipper in Colonia and I was missing it - it gave me a reason to load the game ;)

Anywhoo, current stats:

I'm still here :)

Added about 252 hours to this account over the course of the year.
Visited 1302 more systems
Made 222,134,153 more in exploration payouts (more than twice what I had, so for me lots more exploration this year than previous years)
Went from 238 level 2 scans to 8,382.
Went from 3,913 level 3 scans to 12,057
Highest payout went from 2,995,369 to 8,621,916
Number of hyperspace jumps went from 7815 to 9672
Max distance from start was 22,008LY and is now 27,415LY
Distance in SRV went from 1.93MM to 2.00MM. I guess I didn't travel in the SRV much this year :)

So lots more exploration for me, even though my total playtime this year was somewhat less than previous years.

In the last year....
only 32,000 new systems, and 34,000 jumps (revisited most of my non mapped ELW systems) barely half my previous yearly average.
Just a hair under 2 million LY traveled
40w 6d 7h 37m played (it counts time on main menu evidently)
19 billion additional credits
0.22MM SRV distance

edit Had to re-do the system count (bad eyes) 32,000 instead of 12,000 what I thought was an 8 was really a 6...smh

Also, to avoid duplication of effort, I'm compiling the data here. Obviously WIP, but if somebody else wants to analyse things, this way they don't have to input them again.
Playtime hours are rounded down, I left the minutes out there.

As you can see, L2 and L3 scans are bonkers.

Added current stats pic to my reply.
