And yet FDev has shown in the past that they've tweaked or fixed missions without having to remove them entirely. Case in point: Quince. Passenger missions triggered a gold rush. Missions were deactivated in Quince, but not EVERY SINGLE MISSION IN THE GAME.

This time they are handling it differently. It's not hard to see why. Skimmers, and Mining, not every single mission in the game. Get a grip. Your point appears to be contrived outrage, based on a total misunderstanding of what's happening. Is that the point you were trying to make?

They havent removed every single mission in the game.

That's because there is no discussion needed. We know the reasons why, we know they are working on them and we know they will be back in the game in the next couple of patches. Not much more to discuss is there, so no need to get your knickers in a twist. And the game isn't doomed becasue a couple of mission types are now missing from the mission board.

Seriously at this point the mods just need to have one massive thread like hotel california where everyone who is cross at the latest nerfs or mission removals can congregate.

How the hell is a casual forum user like myself supposed to see the latest steam stats, open letters or buff my favourite ship threads when every man and his thargoid are creating crap threads because of the above reasons.

I sure am, because fears of what the game will become down the line if things like these keep popping up are automatically null and void if support for FDev isn't 100% obvious because someone dared think things aren't being perfectly handled.

Passenger missions suck now. Boy, traveling dozens of thousands of light years for 5 million credits is such fun.

I'm fairly certain that whether they're "fun" or whether they "s*ck" is an intrinsic part of the Mission...In NO WAY tied to the Mission reward...whether they're "fun" or whether they "s*ck" applies just the same if they're paying 5 million/50 million/500 million credits...right???

Nope...because of the commodities rewards Mining Missions could get stuck in a feedback loop where completing one mission meant completion of the next and the next and the next and the next (ad infinitum) an obvious bug that needed fixing...I'm SURE they'll be back...but in the meantime...you know, if you LIKE mining...you can still go maining and the payout for the 3 Ps is still OK...so from a gameplay point of view...nothing is (temporarily) lost...am I right?

things get changed around to make PvP less viable. Man, staring at NPCs that do the same things and say the same things all day is such fun. Easy PvE is where it's at amirite?

Are you genuinely moaning that the Engineering changes and mat Traders have made PVP LESS viable because its more of a level playing field or am i missing something else here? As for PvP vs PvE you're essentially talking about the difference between semi-competent dogfighting in an unrealistic setting (dogfighting between 1vs 1 in peer ships) and incompetent dogfighting in a more realistic setting...and I have a sneaking suspension that it would be easier for Frontier to improve the enemy AI...than it will to change the behaviourand mindset of PvP players

CGs never seem to deviate from the formula. There's a CG for truckers, and a CG for people that like to shoot things. Never anything else.

With 3.0 FDev introduced a new mission reward system that obviously has bugs. Those bugs affect all missions of that type. Solution would be to keep that bug in game or to remove the affected mission templates until they are fixed. FDev did the later (and rightly so in my opinion).

The passenger missions in 2.4 had a bug that resulted in extremely high rewards as a result of edge cases in the mission generating system. FDev respond by removing the distance to station reward part of mission rewards for all passenger missions until they had a fixed version of reward system.

Passenger missions always sucked - why the payout would make them fun is beyond me. All you're doing is exactly the same thing but somehow your fun is derived from how much imaginary money you can make? What will you do with this money - buy more ships so you can press J a bunch of times?

I'm with you Blaze. Not quite "the game is dead" with you but I think FDev are doing more harm than good at this point. I really enjoyed the whole 2.x series but I'm not really that impressed with 3.0 so far. Okay for me it's because of the terrible PMF implementation but when they said on the livestream last night "they're interesting but not as interesting as this" it summed things up for me. FDev think they know what people want and they nailed it for some but it's insulting to assume they nailed it for all. As a player not interested in the Thargoid and Guardian storyline, 3.0 has only brought features that ruined original features I enjoyed such as C&P. C&P is straight up broken right now. I also agree that removing mission types that they broke in the first place is poor show. Passenger missions work, introducing distance bonus, passenger missions broken. Mining missions work, forget to not reward mission target as mission reward, mining missions broke. See the pattern.

Like I said, not the whole way with you Blaze but air your views. You are as much a paying customer as the rest and by posting here you aren't saying "I quit", you're saying "please don't make me quit". It's when we stop posting that they will be truly worried but also when it's too late.
