You know you've been playing it too much when you run out of content in the first week of release and realise that its just a big long grindfest in a universe full of whiney carebears.

When you have a dream about getting a mission called "Sushi from Sol" that pays out 1 million cr, but you can't obtain the permit to get the sushi. Seriously, I had this dream last night.

You realise that you are pushing a shopping trolley around Sainsburys and making Viper Engine noises in your head!

(Just done this)

When you think "What's wrong?" as you're looking around in meatspace and lock icons don't offer themselves (wayyyy too much Rift flying!)
When you see "Lane Shift Ahead" on the freeway and automattically floor the loud pedal so you're ready to jump. Lane shift, frame shift.... who can tell?
You put something heavy in the boot and think "There goes my jump-range...." (Yes, I know I'm mixing US and UK terms... brit in San Francisco, c'est la vie...)
You crane your head as you take a corner in your car and grin like a loon because it does that in the game, too!
Whenever you're cut off by a Beemer or a Merc on the road, your brain makes the "Hardpoints Deploying" sound.
You look at your Google News Feed and think "Where's the drokking Galnet section?"

And lastly:

Having blown a Fat Wad o' Real Life Cash on a new joystick and an Oculus Rift during the course of the year, your christmas present to yourself is a big, squishy new office-chair with lots of padding so you can sit on your duff all through the holidays, grinding rares and spanking Wanteds without getting a numb backside!

when your driving down the motorway, a green car passes you and your first thought is 'oh, its an ally'.

when your driving down the motorway, a red car passes you and your first thought is to scan it to see what size bounty it has.

When driving your car, plotting a route to your destination on your navigation system and search for the button "Lock and Supercruise"

insert:
Your wife denies you docking permission

This made me laugh, + 1 rep
